I am more conscious about using them though...ever since reading the story of somebody's transformer burning up next to their battery (which is where mine is as well).

FYI. :peace:

Yeah, that was my setup. I pulled them out and haven't wanted to place them back in since. A little nervous, I suppose...

I did this mod slightly different. I went to my local advance auto parts store and bought reflective safety tape. Its a 2 pack for 15.00. I cut the white off and trimed the red down to size and slid it behind the SVT logo. I know this sounds cheap as hell but it looks great. If it fades just cut up some more. Very low tech and you get the same effect as being back lit when other cars headlights hit it at night. I have other plans for my remaining 2 upfitter switches.

Dont get me wrong the back lighting is very cool just went my own way.

I did the exact same thing a while back. I think it very effective as well.

If it can hook up to turn signal and parking lights, it will serve dual propose. Just another idea.

Mines still going strong 2 years later and I leave it on all the time.

Brake light repair tape is the way to go, last a good year.

How do u remove the sideplate

You need to slide a flat head screwdriver under the plate right around the middle. Wrap it with blue painters tape or something similar so you dont scratch your paint. Then just pry it up slowly.
