Auto Start/Stop Delete Now an Option

I think it was already mentioned here but if you have a Vin you can't make this change. My dealer at least said they'd have to cancel the order and re-order and nobody is going to do that

Just got a text from my dealer asking if I wanted to DELETE AUTO START/STOP feature. He cited that Ford is running low supply on those parts, so if I opt to delete this feature, that my truck could arrive sooner.

Has anyone confirmed if it will have a blank button in place or if the button will be there just non functioning? I’d much rather have the non functioning button.

Ouch! Didn’t think of that until after I opted out of the function! And I didn’t think of the button either!

Over the long run and not withstanding the “environmental benefits,” I just thought there would be less things to go wrong: stress on battery, stress on starter solenoid, less electronics, etc. Is that a valid “benefit” for not having this function?

Not having the function is a huge benefit. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't get a discount for accepting a "crippled" truck. They call that win/win.

My dealer just sent me a confirmation email containing an updated dora that shows "auto start/stop removal" with a 50$ savings. Lets see if it gets me scheduled lmao

I was looking at the vehicle order tracking page on my truck and just realized under accessories "Auto Start-Stop Removal" was listed. The truck was a stock order, so the dealer must have spec it with the option! Blessings upon blessings!

Mine shows they same. My VIN was already created before this was an option, maybe Ford is just removing the auto-start to get the trucks produced.
