Anyone that switched from small car to the raptor?

I'll end up switching from my F30 '15 335i M Sport with all the M Performance Goodies. Find utility a bit more appealing again.

you will notice it in tight parking lots...

True... I now covet spots that require a long walk.

I park in a structure at work. The first week was rough but now it's not bad... I can think of a structure in Chicago that I used last year--- I wouldn't go back with this truck.

NRA HQ range garage is listed at 6’8” or 80”, the listed and measured Raptor height is ~ “78” close enough I didn’t want to chance it the first time. 2nd time I bought a tape measure. Lowest clearance I could find was 82”, including a low hanging pipe. The antenna hit everywhere but nothing else. It was disconcerting to watch the truck roll under some of the overheads through the moon roof. Fortunately, not tight turns.

Honestly, instead of 3 point turns, I think it would be easier to use the old Mustang GT trick, use the the inherent throttle induced oversteer to turn in a shorter radius. Was easy in 1st gear of the GT, but for the Raptor

1) select 2wd
2) begin turn
3) nail it in 1 or 2, release throttle when correct angle has been achieved.

Repeat steps 1 - 3 as needed.

So I backed out of a raptor cuz it felt ungainly and I was not impressed by
Motor sound and transmission

It also had a shimmy on the freeway

I drive e30 e46 bmws

I expected a truck experience but the magazines (which were my only basis of info) made the truck seem somewhat nimble for such a beast.

I guess it takes a $70k leap of faith I wasn't prepared to make. Maybe I need to find another test drive.

For the record I just put 800 miles on my dads new f150 EB limited and it made me want a GMC with the 6.2 or new diesel

Maybe the raptor is different

It's a rad truck regardless and that factor should override a lot of the dynamic differences
