Awesome, good to hear another positive review on the whipple kit! I cant wait to install mine but it will have to be a while as Im waiting for a full race intercooler to arrive (installing a winch).

is it a requirement for this kit to get new sparkplugs and have then gapped to 0.025"?
Which plugs did you go with? If needed, id like to order some and have them ready.

You don’t have to buy new plugs you can just gap the stock plugs. I went ahead and got new plugs just to have them ready like you said, stock plugs are SP534’s and aftermarket you can use NGK LTR6IX-11 6509’s.

I also bought a really nice spark plug gap tool off amazon. Works awesome

little more info on my experiance installing. besides the step #20 in my previous post on this thread about the out hose and remove plastic shield. here are a few pictures.
spark plugs with 9k miles. dirty as hell. replaced with sp550s from ford depot only place i found them gapped perfect to .025 out of box. every place online doesnt have. i ordered from a few places online saying they have but they really dont.
the fan unit was sucking in the wiring harness and cut thru the plastic cover and into the wiring. had to repair this. added some tie wraps to make sure this doesnt happen again. factory clearly didnt have enough harness wire management to keep it from being sucked up and cut.
when taking off oem cac about 2-3 ounces of gunk liquid came out all 3 locations. both right/left in hoses, and out hose. (can you say weephole, for you Sasquatch)
whipple cac is a beast of a cooler. thing is solid and heavy
whipple cai is also a beast and solid built. (i had the roush before). whipple’s is much better built imo
tune and tomahawk also easy to use and no issues so far
will update on performance shortly

Stock plugs are not sp534’s! They are sp550’s CYFS12YPCT. I pulled the stock plugs and bought brand new replacements and they are indeed sp550’s. Sp534’s are CYFS12YT3. I mistakenly bought the 534’s so if anyone wants a brand new set pm me

That is interesting about the "gunk liquid". I was reading this page and watched the video link of the install. I'm not sure if it is worth the $400 or not but it sounds good.

^ ya i read alot about catch cans. just not sure i want to install one. after seeing this liquid not sure if its because the oem cac is just cheap junk or a catch can is really required.
