Any idea where this rubber part goes?

Anyone know where this rubber cover goes? I had an annoying noise from something rolling around inside my truck. Tooks the console out this am and found this trapped between the console housing and the flow through duct. I also found a shift bolt I lost there two years ago

Believe it or not, I've never had to have the console apart.....

No. When I read this, I thought, that's it, why didn't I figure this out. But, I just checked and this isn't part of the glove box.
