Hmm, on the floor, or in the door pocket?

I just KNOW I'm gonna get a fix-it ticket if I don't have a plate on, or at least on the dashboard like I've seen others running. Maybe I'll make an actual dashboard mount that fixes it in place on the left front dash? Then at least I'll have a pot to **** in when I get pulled over :(

Oh, love your Avatar TomDirt, lets Make California Great Again :D !!
Sacramento is one of the worst places for no front plate tickets, or at least it used to be. Back in the 00s, they had a big problem with red light runners and all the traffic light cameras for red light runners needed a front plate to ticket. So if you were driving around, you'd get stopped for no front plate. Only ticket I ever got for no front plate was in Sac.

That's no surprise. For a while there were red light cams EVERYWHERE here in Sac, then for a few years, none. Now they're back again :/ . I'll have to find a police officer to give me the low-down on rules for front plates....

Kinda weird OP asks for aftermarket bumper license plate ideas and all we've provided is advice to remove it?

I wish I could but my local PD would set at my driveway handing tickets out everyday.

My bumper had extra light mounts which I fabled some brackets to mount the plate. I believe Cali is the same as TX as the front plate must be displayed on the front most portion of the vehicle. Mounting it on the skid plate seems legit way of doing it. I saw a this on the internets, but not in California to confirm if it’s allowed as of yet

Good article Chewie, valuable info!! So, if we CAN use a sticker in CA, then I'm sure it can be black, and to me it looks like having it on the skid plate at a slight angle can't be that big of a deal! That's GREAT to know!!

Here's the sticker co's site: https://licenseplatewrap.com/

It's okay Muchmore, they can't resist the dig, I've done it too! Occasionally they're really funny :D! I often see 'vettes and sports cars with no plates, but I tire of dealing with the law and going to the courthouse more than I have to, so I'll comply when it comes to plates. Other stupid mandates, not so much ;) !
