Every wheel that's even been put on any Raptor, whether it's Gen 1, 2, or 3 is a 17x8.5 +34 fitment. However, the design of the wheel spokes on the backside is what can cause the fitment issues, unfortunately. Back when I had my Gen 2 and we were test fitting Alcon brakes, I found that my stock non-BL wheels would clear the Alcon, but the BL wheels required the 6mm spacer - even though the fitment was identical.

Unfortunately, unlike an aftermarket manufacturer, Ford won't give us the fitment diagrams of their stock wheels, so the only way to do it would be to test fit them.
Hi Nick..,
Thanks for clearing that up...
I bought all the Morimoto lights for my Gen1 from you..love them, and the great customer service...and now want to buy the brakes, and just didnt want any drama...guess question is,if a guy orders, takes truck apart, and they dont fit,now his truck is apart and needs to order "spacers"...and wait a week for them....Is that how it works...or can you order spacers with brakes and return if not needed...?

I appreciate the kind words, man. And yes, we do have a 30-day return policy for unused parts so that's no problem. That being said, the Alcon spacers are a special order part, and they're a little pricey at $55 each. I'd recommend getting some cheap spacers from Amazon to see if you need them, if not, it's an easy return. And then if you do end up needing the spacers, we can order the Alcon ones for you. Totally up to you and how you would like to handle it, if you want to order the Alcon spacers with the Wilwoods, we'll still take them back if you don't use them.

Will keep that in mind....truck is needing shocks, and other maintenance, and trying to sort out all the options, and figure out timing it all with my mechanic...thats why the "maybe" needing spacers wasnt working for me since I cant have truck tied up for weeks.....BUT....sounds like the best way to go is order the damn things anyway, since your find if we dont need and can return them.....DO APPRECIATE THE HELP..!!
And funny...went out today, and noticed one of the Shelby exhaust tips was hanging funny.....yeah....rotten on end....so need 2 new tips, called Shelby....We dont make them anymore....! :-(
When it rains it pours...LOL!!
Have great weekend and will LYK....!

Here is a quick review of my install and initial impressions of the AERO6 Front kit from Wilwood.

Installation:

Overall, not bad. Pretty straight forward. The install video on the link below is on a different year as the body mount for the OEM brake line is in a different location. I wasn't great at taking a bunch of pictures but the video on their site shows the install pretty much as it goes.

Biggest snag I ran into was the driver's side brake line thread was partially crushed at the very bottom. Had to use a thread dye/tap kit m10-1.5 but because of the limited space had to use it by hand and got lucky to clean it up enough to get it to thread to the adapter provided by Wilwood.

The retaining clips to the brake lines are a big pain to get back in because of the angle on my production year, if you have it like the one in the video it would be MUCH easier.

Overall, for the price you can't beat it. Bleeding wasn't hard with a friend.

They stop great, but keep in mind my only reference is street use hard stops and daily driving. We will see how they do when I tow. I don't have any other references than that they do grab really well and will throw you. I presume a set of new pads and SS lines would do the same but having 6 pistons helps. The kit is overall much lighter than the OEM front brakes as well. I couldn't find the OEM or Wilwood weight specs but once I loaded everything into the Wilwood box, FML It was MUCH heavier than when loaded with the Wilwood components. Anyway, thank you to @Nick@Apollo-Optics for great pricing on this kit and great customer service as always. I am very happy with it.
Man thanks for the write up. Been looking at these for awhile now. How did you get the black disc brake?

Hi Nick,
Guess i asked wrong question...since you say only way to know is to test fit them....have you not sold a set to any Gen1 owner with stock beadlocks? Would i be the 1st to test fit.Just hate dealing with starting a job to find things dont fit and having to return and wait for different ones...too much drama, wasted day and truck down for days...
If you can confirm proper fit,id be interested.

Thanks

That's correct. We've not had a customer running the Aero6-DM on a Gen 1 with stock beadlock wheels. However, I did find a line on some reasonably priced 0.25" wheel spacers that would probably be all the additional clearance needed. However, again, I've never tested them before with this exact setup.

Hey Nick...thanks...I was afraid you were going to say that....really strange, guess no one with 10 year old Raptor wants to put the $ into it...So as the old Trekie saying goes..."to boldly go where no man has gone before"..!
Still pondering which way to go....and if with Wilwoods, your my go to guy..!
Ever going to do a group sale again,or will they be going on sale before end of year?
Thanks!

Let me know when you're ready and we can do some forum pricing for you. I don't believe Wilwood ever did an actual Black Friday sale. I could be wrong, but I don't remember one.
