Turning in my Gen 1 tomorrow for a Gen 2. Absolutely have loved my truck- 80k no real problems and tons of great memories. Sitting here having a beer looking at my truck and all of the great times our family has had with it. Still think the Gen 1 looks better but am hoping that I have not made a mistake in moving on to a new one.....Anyone else trade in a Gen 1 and get a little sappy before trading it in? Love your Gen 2?

Traded my Gen1 for 18 Gen2. Gen 1 was great. Only had about 39K on it. Took me a little while to warm up to the Gen 2s. Didn't know if I would like the 3.5. I do like the new look. Especially when set up. My hesitation lasted about 10 minutes. After 3 moths I can say the Gen 2 is superior.






Desert tires on the Gen2 and winter tires on it.

Similar taste in trucks...Going from Black to LF as well. I am taking my methods with me from my Gen 1 to Gen 2. The new beadlocks are going on my oldtruck...Better trade in for me and like the method offset a little more....

Give the engine sound a week or two to get used to. I actually kind of like it now and hated it at first. Everything else is so much better. Went from a 14 to a 19 and so happy I did!

Went from 11 to 18 (with a few Rams in between). Both great trucks. Couldn't be happier with the gen2.

If you want v8 sound, get a hemi or a 5 0. But if you want unadulterated performance, stick with the raptor. Just keep an open mind and give it a chance ;-)

I would back out if you could. Not enough proven history on whether the ecoboost is up to ***** in these yet. Keep your gen 1 and enjoy being able to drive it every day.
