I guess if im stuck and stranded sure I want help.. but I guarn dam tee you im not I dont let my family drive when the news tells you not to.. So you have to just let them sit in the cold for awhile and let them learn a lesson.. If they learn a lesson then I am happy to teach them to fish...

So this is when you roll up and say
"i see your stuck how much cash you have?"
answer ="none" = keep driving
answer = anything >=20 pull out the straps

Keeps the tank full in the winter and helps pay for spring time mods

Also have to think about if you damage a vehicle pulling them out and the person your "helping" decides to be an ass and come after you for the damages......

"No good dead goes unpunished"

He had a 8 axle aluminum steel hauler but he was empty, hit a patch of ice, jack knifed, spun 180 degrees and hit that ditch hard. Really hard. Enough to break his truck axles, break his rear cab mounts and fling all that dirt out of that ditch onto that guys property. It just a miracle he didn't completely take out the power pole he hit and was leaning up against otherwise I'd be recovering a truck with a body in it. Had me and my dad slide it sideways out of the ditch and shut down that little road for about 25 minutes. Pulled the driveshaft and prepped it for air while she was in the ditch. I'd like to say I'm pretty quick at jobs like these. Possibly the fastest ****** in Michigan. Lol. I love doing it though. I can pull anything out of the ditch bigger than a F150. Anything smaller, there will be damage. All my equipment is big stuff.

I agree with a lot of what's said on here, people act like its my responsibility to pull them out cause I can or I should become a taxi service. I mean I pulled a few old ladys out and a few women but at a certain point I got fed up with it. My knees and gloves were soaking wet from climbing under their cars with 2" of clearance and having to find somewhere to hook up at. Never got offered a dime for my time which is fine that's not why I did it, but none of them even offered to help. They just stood there and watched me do everything. So I'm all about helping someone who truly needs it but some of these people need to learn their lessons, next storm I may not be so nice. On a positive note. The Raptor was an absolute beast, didn't have a single problem getting anybody out. She just pulled them right on out with ease

I find it extra funny when people with Evos/STIs think they can drive in snow because they got AWD... with summer tires. My Evo with performance summer tires is semi useless in the rain.

A friend of mine puts dedicated winter tires on his Evo and drives through 6" of snow or more just fine. Last weekend he was out ripping around a frozen lake in >6" of fresh snow and it went just fine.

I think I might have built that trailer, was it a Reitnouer?
