When the news announces that a snow storm is coming, they should also advise the idiots to stay home.

Whats so wrong with helping peaple!!? All those helpless folks probably have a group forum about idiots that just drive right by with absolutely no compassion! This is a chance not only to help a fellow American out, but to prove just how badass these trucks are. You help a few people out, and i bet someone will offer a tip$ or a free dinner....... I understand those with families, but everone else has em too!

I am sorry if I sound like an *******. But when there is an emergency snow ordinance:

"Phase 1 emergency snow ordinance is issued when streets are slickened by snow or freezing rain. Drivers who do not have snow tires or chains on their cars will be ticketed if they get stuck on major thoroughfares."

And you decide your civic with 3' wing can make it with your bald tires. And get stuck and want help because you don't want a ticket. No, I will not stop and help. Snow ordinances are there to keep people off the roads so the plows can clear them, and emergency vehicles can get through. If you ignore the last 24 hours of news about the snow storm, and not prepare then you deserve it.

Couldn't agree more. Chains are illegal in Michigan for the worry about ruining the roads. *****. The reason I bought the Raptor is because the roads suck already. Love seeing ********* in the ditch. Makes me money. While everyone else hates the snow, I pray for snow to happen. Bring on the White Gold baby!

I must be an ******* too because I don't like helping idiots. The last couple people I've helped out in snow have either been very unappreciative or they bitch about how they hope I don't break something on their car.

If its something serious like an accident, a family, or I get flagged down, then I'll stop.

Also have to think about if you damage a vehicle pulling them out and the person your "helping" decides to be an ass and come after you for the damages......

This is exactly why i refuse to help cars or people I do not know.

If its a truck, it likely has tow hooks, and id be glad to help them. or if its a buddy.

but sorry, I see a car in the ditch, ill stop and see if they are ok or need a cell phone, but i aint pulling them out.

Yep-no recovery points, your staying where you are. I tend to not pull random people out because most of the time you get involved in the original reason why they are stuck - poorly prepared vehicles & no driving skill.
I have the same problem here, all the dumbshits with their bald tires or unprepared vehicles really foul things up. You can run studs here in NV, so do what my neighbor does-put some studded snow tires on your car, she manages to not get stuck. it's not rocket science people-just common sense.

The problem is that in the end it does them no good to help them out. First, they don't learn their lesson. Second, their vehicle is just going to get stuck 20 yards down the highway because their driving the same vehicle in the same conditions. For me, I would stop if I saw a 4x4 stuck though. Because sometimes shit happens and if I help him out there's a good chance he/she will make it home because their vehicle is capable of driving in the snow.
