I know multiple farmers with eco boosts that have cels and issues with them all the evidence I need. Plus I’m not going to get into an Internet e thug fight with someone who may or may not even have a raptor. It’s my opinion it’s my money and to me my gen 1 6.2 liter raptor > a gen 2 twin turbo 3.5 liter

That’s my opinion and my money is spent by me not someone’s else’s opinion on a message forum.

I'm really just trying to save you some time. Get off the Gen 2 Raptor forum

The Raptor is just not for you anymore. Nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of other good pickup trucks out there

You're just not going to find what you're looking for though on a Gen 2 Raptor site

The only reason I came in here anyway was for the discussion on the7 liter v8 going into a raptor. Dealers have said it would, websites say they are. The only ones torpedoing it are the current v6 gen 2 owners probably because if when it happens the gen 2 v6 will go the way of the gen 1 flex fuel 5.4 liter forgotten

Obviously Ford forgot to announce the 7.0 when they released the 2019 specs. All of those blogers couldn't possibly be wrong. Surely this was a screw up on Ford's part. Hopefully those bloggers call the CEO and get this straightened out because everyone knows the V8 is coming. Well, everyone except Ford apparently.

The simple fact is that there are people out there like me with a 6.2 liter who will not buy the v6 raptor. It sounds like the dealers say a pissed off bumble bee. The throaty v8 is what a raptor is meant to have, now if you don’t take your truck off-road I’m sure a v6 can do the job but the raptor has always meant to have a v8 of course there is also something that was more special about SvT than ford performance anyway.

I would take a 5 liter fx4 coyote lifted truck before I would a v6 raptor

What's wrong with a pissed off bumble bee? I know i wouldn't want to mess with one.

I do miss my v8 sound but my neighbors don't, especially when it was coupled to a borla exhaust. The perks of having the v6 is that you don't want to mess with it and thus keeping it quiet and the neighbors happy

LOL. Doesn't trust trubos. Wants to buy a powerstroke. You see the irony there don't you? Or maybe you don't.

Well you're on a public forum, so if you say something that someone else thinks is retarded, you're probably going to get a response. If we go by facts instead of feelings, you aren't going to get away from the fact that there's nothing your 6.2 does better. Now you may not "feel" that way, but reality doesn't care about your feelings. What I'm telling you isn't dependent on whether or not I or anyone else owns a raptor.

I guess my dealership was wrong, I just assumed the 7 liter was a done deal. Usually when you hear from the General Manager and dealer about ordering one you just assume that it is an option. I did not know nor did I understand an inherent hatred for the 7 liter v8 especially on the Gen 2 side but appears that there is.

Look the GEN 2 Raptor is fast and a great street truck, in a lot of ways it probably is as fast as my STI. However, for what I use it for I am afraid it is not durable enough to handle it. The Power strokes a lot of times are direct gears, with a lot more durability and tuning available in the aftermarket. Although the 250 is way more heavier than the 150 so I guess it could be wash. I might look at the potential power stroke 150 if that hits the market since 30 mpg out of a truck is a good thing.

This is fake news. The 6.2 has more low end torque and zero boost lag. It's also more durable and has far more real world power potential once modded. Most people also think it sounds a hell of a lot better.

Yeah procharge the 6.2 and then get back to me. However the 7 liter being a 427 sounds familiar in a ford once again. The return of the cobra raptor jet...
