With all the past discussion on modifying the exhaust and what brand is the best. I still have not heard of a solution. I want to do this once. It there a known type/ manufactured/ proper way to install it, where there will be no drone?

I think the general consensus is Corsa if you're OK with traditional exhaust. I've heard good things about Borla as well.

Also, any exhaust system that retains a resonator before the muffler will help. Personally, I have an MBRP exhaust. Resonated pipe before muffler and dumped before the axle. No drone, but I do get similar resonance simply due to echo off the ground.

MagnaFlow makes a nice kit. Perfect sound for me. Good tone on startup that quiets to a nice rumble at idle. Sounds mean when you step on it but quiet at cruise. No drone. Half the price of Borla or Corsa. The pipes are 409 stainless vs. 304 in the other kits which is the reason for the price difference. However the tips and muffler case are 304. I painted my tips black anyway.

Ditto the Magnaflow suggestion or any other system that retains the factory resonator upstream (as mentioned) - that definitely helps keep things in check IMHO.

YMMV - all depends on what YOUR ears can handle though, listen to a few other trucks in person first if you can.

If you are worried about Drone you should consider the CORSA as that's what they specialize in. A bit more expensive but absolutely no drone with their setup. They also sell a resonator delete pipe if you decide the Sport sound isn't enough which really wakes the exhaust up.

No drone on the Magnaflow either. I had the full MBRP on my 2011 and it droned too much for me.
