Yeah, no shit those look sweet!.

-Greg

Ok bo yours are by far my favorite now

Got it! Thanx. Those look AWESOME! I'm sure they will look AWESOMER once they're on the truck.

Great Job, once again, Ducati! Great Choice BO!!!

Thanks guys. All I had was an idea though... The real credit and props must go to The Duc... I cannot stress enough what a pleasure he was to work with. He dedicated tons of his time answering a bazillion questions I had, mocking up other ideas I had, sending me photos, dealing with me changing my mind on details, etc etc. He went above and beyond.

Many thanks again Duc, The Mighty ****** aka La Flama Blanca will wear your lights proudly.

(Now I just gotta wait for Raptorguy21 to get back in town to install them for me... I'm electrically challenged).

This may seem stupid or dumb at first so please forgive me. I have been in contact with Ducati throughout the day today. I own a 2011 F150 FX4. I know, I know not a raptor. I have been following this thread for about 3 months already. I joined this forum yesterday. I am a member of f150forum.com and no one even comes close to the work that Ducati does-we all know that. Unfortunately, I am just not quite there budget/money wise to drop $1,000 on these headlights although I badly badly want some lol. If anyone has a set of these headlights and are looking to get a new set of headlights from Ducati with all the new options he has, please pm me details of your headlights. I figured I would try this route and see if anyone has ever thought about selling theirs I would be interested in your old ones. Thanks guys!

Make sure he watches the video in the first post of this thread, it explains how to install the harness, its very simple.

How sensitive are the ballast to spikes and lags in voltage? The reason I am asking is I noticed some flickering of my headlights the other day. So being curious I checked all the connections and every is fine. I got out my handy dandy meter to watch the incomming voltage to the balast.. (truck in park, running and everything on) Looked nice and steady...
I bypassed the hood safety switch with a ziptie, so I could remote start the truck with hood open.
When remote starting the truck with HID on the voltage to ballast went ape shit.. Anywhere from 11.2 volts to 17 volts and then finally leveled out.. I covered the dash sensor to have the lights come on in automatic mode when started. And when I started it again with headlights in automatic mode the headlights come on and the voltage is all over the place when starting.

Surely, these voltage spikes and sags can not be good for the ballast. Would it be better to manually turn on HID after the truck is started, or just leave it in auto?

The Auto feature does not effect working HIDs in any way, I only use the auto on and remote start with mine and have never had an issue. My guess is that your relay harness is going **** up if it effects both headlights

Over time it could kill them, I'd do what iron does. Turn em on after the truck is running. Just to be safe.

Here's the thing with the AUTO and HID thing that I read a while back when I was researching this exact thing.

With AUTO, the truck will turn them on before the vehicle starts. When you crank the vehicle, the voltage will drop and, according to what was in the article, can damage the components during the drop. Then, they go back to full power after the start cycle.

It's believed that the HID arc should be at full power to "warm up" for a specified amount of time before being turned off and stuff... What happens if you start it up and then pull outside and it's bright? Then they go right off again, wasting a start up cycle.

That's basically the cliff notes of what it said.

I use my lights manually because I don't use the auto because I can remember to turn lights on when shit gets dark and I like to run with just the parking lights for a while at dusk to look good. :D
