nope, they are on top of the shroud. the ring is white when off so it blends in with the white shroud.

Yeah BO, when you do get them installed I would love a pic of the evil eyes and amber marker lights on. preferably in the evening before it gets dark so they really pop !

Your the first and only set of Evils out there so far, I haven't even seen them in a truck yet.
