3rd brake light option? Anzo sucks.

Accidentally posted this in Gen 2 originally... meant for Gen 1....

So about 2 years back I replaced my failing 3rd brake light with a smoked unit from Anzo. Figured as they claim to by Socal based they would have some quality. Mistake. Light has completely **** the bed. Paid over $100 for it at the time. Contacted Anzo and they said I should go buy an OEM one or buy a new one from them.

I see piles of different options on Amazon but they all look like garbage. Is there a decent replacement people are using or have experience with?

I don't have any recos but I can speak to Anzo products, they're absolutely dogsh*t. Their CS team were zero help when I complained the seals on my lights started to fall apart and leak, and it was at the tail-end of my 1 year warranty. The only option they provided was to return the lights to the Amazon reseller (who never got back to me). So I ended up having to rebuilt them myself, such a waste of time and money (especially the fact they charge a premium). STAY AWAY FROM ANZO FOLKS!

Stay with OEM for the authentic true Gen 1 look. I've seen more than a few post here where people went with after market and were not happy and went back to the OEM light.

Like an idiot I cut the harness off to hardwire in the "forever" Anzo unit so now I don't have the 3 lights that would go in the stocker. Does the OEM come with the harness / bulbs? Ugh.

Try a Dorman off of Rock Auto. My 3rd brake light went bad a while back so I bought one of the Dorman brand and it looks OEM and has worked fine. I have a 14 Screw.

I know 100's of raptor owners that have installed the aftermarket third brake light and are as happy as can be, including myself.

There are also hundreds that bought Recon, Anzo and other after market brands that were very unhappy. Sure there are some good after market one's but I'm just one that likes staying true to the 100% stock Raptor look.
