Don't be so insecure and dramatic, princess. :supergay:

It’s not an exaggeration.

I think you made some typos there. But the answer is because I like the way it sounds better on than off.

based on your extensive experience with the 2017+ trucks, right?

You can't both care about fuel mileage and not care about fuel mileage. And are you authorized to speak on behalf of all the Jennies?

Not what I said, we don’t care about YOUR mpg here on this thread, or elsewhere on the gen 2 subforums.

Are you getting 21 mpg?
This must be an important topic for you. You asked it of me twice.

Perhaps, that’s what you were meaning to type when you instead typed this:
Also, I don't trust the fuel mileage reading from the computer. Have
any of you guys ever actually tested it?

For someone who doesn’t think this should be a concern for a Raptor owner, you sure do have a keen interest in it. Why is that? Never mind, it’s not really important.

I have gotten a tick over 20.5, and as low as 14 over a tank. Have seen lower on the average gauge, it depends. I have contributed my $.02 into various mpg threads elsewhere.

I think we are seeing a little too deep into your disturbed psyche on this point, my friend.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. The analogy is topical and IMO accurate.
and we are most certainly, not friends, buddy.

That does explain why a guy would buy a full size truck with a V6.

You sure are insecure about the 2017+ trucks and their owners. Maybe reevaluate your life priorities. if this is what is important to you, I genuinely feel bad for you.

It’s not an exaggeration.

Sorry about your *******.

based on your extensive experience with the 2017+ trucks, right?

That's correct, yes.

Not what I said, we don’t care about YOUR mpg here on this thread, or elsewhere on the gen 2 subforums.

So you are authorized to speak on behalf of all the Jennies? And what would be the point of talking about MPG without a point of comparison? The outgoing model has been a very frequent point of comparison. Most people think it is the most applicable, since the Raptor is essentially in a class of its own. Ford, the media, many current/former owners, guys on this forum... they've all talked about this... you missed all that?

Or were you just trying to hurt my internet feels? Kind of pathetic, bro. You can do better.

This must be an important topic for you. You asked it of me twice.

It isn't important to me and I've never tested my own. I just see everyone throwing around these numbers and I don't think they are valid unless they are verified. It's pretty basic logic, my friend.

I have gotten a tick over 20.5, and as low as 14 over a tank. Have seen lower on the average gauge, it depends. I have contributed my $.02 into various mpg threads elsewhere.

That was clear as mud. Thanks for sharing.

What it is is creepy, friend.

You sure are insecure about the 2017+ trucks and their owners. Maybe reevaluate your life priorities. if this is what is important to you, I genuinely feel bad for you.

Not at all, friend. I am a big fan of the new trucks and many of the new owners - even the ones who came from the import world - some of them are really cool guys genuinely interested in learning. You, on the other hand, are just continuing to be incredibly insecure about an issue you claim not to care about. It's really odd.

Get some help.

You know, before you creep off into the woods and start thinking about harming yourself or others. :Pshyco:

On the other hand, I give your trolling a 1/10.

:specialed:

I see you have taken up the mantle of nut hugger for Andyslog. That’s great Amiga, we need someone in the gen 2 forums remind folks of how bad things can get.

I see what you did there, Amiga. Actually, I proclaimed that we care nothing about your mpg. I believe we covered already that you were first inquiring about whether any of us had compared the computer estimated MPG with actual economy, and then multiple times asked me what my MPG was.

I answered both hermana. but all of this was after
as a counterpoint I really don’t think anyone who cares about fuel mileage should be in a Raptor anyway

So, are you giving up your Raptor? or just typing words on the internet.

Buenas noches, amiga!

I don't even know who or what you are talking about.

You need to get your emotions under control, friend.

I see what you did there, Amiga. Actually, I proclaimed that we care nothing about your mpg.

I have a Gen 1 Raptor, friend. As established, it is really the only/best point of reference to the MPG of other Raptors. So again, it is relevant. And so you must be trying (really hard) to hurt my feels. But I'm not as sensitive and insecure as you are. So it's not working.

I believe we covered already that you were first inquiring about whether any of us had compared the computer estimated MPG with actual economy, and then multiple times asked me what my MPG was.

Your answer was clear as mud, friend. Go back and read it again. It's dyslexic, at best.

So, are you giving up your Raptor? or just typing words on the internet.

Buenas noches, amiga!

Why would I give up my Raptor? Have you been drinking? You are really out of touch with reality and I am concerned that you will harm yourself or others.

Friend, I am worried about you. I want to get you help. Please let me help you.

I happen to prefer the sound of 4 and 6 cylinder engines when equipped and tuned properly. Primarily because so many people think the big V-8s are a cure for erectile dysfunction. I built a straight 6 in a `67 Camaro back in the early 70s specifically to embarrass the big block v8 folks on the street and 1/8th mile. No forced induction, just high revs (8k rpm), big valves(2.02 intakes) and head work, a really big carburetor, and 5.13 gears with 28" tires. Yeah the big motors would eventually get by on a long straight, but that wasn't a big deal back then. Acceleration is/was king and still is in the US for so many of the gearheads. My lightweight, quick 6cyl Camaro would be gone 3-5 car-lengths before the big, heavy v8s even got rolling. Knowing your competition and specific preparation to defeat it is the key to what it's all about. Not whether you have a 4, 6, 8, or 10cylinder engine. Power-to-weight and traction to the ground is what wins acceleration contests. Pretty simple really, unless you're compensating for some other short-coming in your life. Then it becomes all about intangible and irrelevant things like how it "sounds".

BTW, I happen to like the sound of my pressurized v6, but that isn't why I bought a Raptor...
