I recommend just driving to different places and saying you wanna sell outright.

When I was selling my ram before picking up the raptor, it ended up being a big dealers used car section that gave me much more than any of the big box places.

Problem is the market is getting weaker on the used stuff too but seems to have landed pretty solid. He’d have to get another couple grand on an outright sale just to break even with his current deal due to tax offset on trade difference. And then deal with the inconvenience. But to each their own.

Exactly why I am sticking with the deal I have, to much of a headache, if it was worth it I would but it’s not

So I found a 2021 Code Orange 37pp, fully loaded, rhapsody recaros, certified pre owned with only 11,800 miles for $69,500. Seems like a good deal, but feel like I am being shafted on my trade, a 2017 Raptor, 83k miles, and they offered me $31k for it. Out the door I’m looking at $750 a month with $5k down for the “new” one. A part of me wants to move on it but the other part of me says, I have a perfectly good truck with a $190 a month payment. KBB on my truck is $36-41k so $31 felt like an insult. I will say that the salesman sent me a screen shot of Carfax that has my truck at $31k wholesale. Good deal or keep what I have and walk away?

Hey OP, just for chits & giggles, input your truck’s info on Givemethevin.com and see what their offer comes back as. You don’t have to accept the offer but can if it’s to your liking.

On Autotrader, similar trucks in your area w/ nearly like mileage is fetching roughly $40K in which they prolly bought for several thousand less, maybe $35.5-$37K, to make a lil profit for themselves…see Autotrader pic for reference.

Having said this, don’t let the truck you want slip away from you. GL man!
