I was behind a GTr in a parking ramp last week, if the Raptor could sound like that, I would be over the moon. I think mine sounds like shit compared to my SC Raptor with Roush exhaust.

Agreed the ECO 3.5 HO doesn't sound as bad as I had thought it would from the outside. However I absolutely HATE, the piping in of engine noise to the interior.

I think having it run whisper silent with the windows up is perfectly fine. If anything they could of just went with a louder BOV noise to make up for the lack of traditional V8 sound.

You can disable the fake engine noise / noise cancelling; pay the dealer to do it or buy FORSCAN and do it yourself. It’s a mixed blessing. Without the sound augmentation, you’ll hear more of the really quiet noises the truck makes, and the engine sound is more natural. There’s a video on youtube illustrating the difference and honestly that makes the lack of piped in engine noise sound horrible. It’s not like that. I like hearing what the truck is doing and the fake sound doesn’t mask anything bad. The truck is still remarkably quiet, and to really appreciate what’s being covered up you need to ride around with the fan blower and radio off, after disabling the fake sound.

You really think turbo gas engines are the future?

I do, atleast as far as the blue oval is concerned. Not bashing the v8 by any means, TTV6 is just the motor they have for the forseable future. Also I got 19.4 mpg today on a 5 hr 300 mile drive in So Cal, not bad.
