This is all well and good, if you actually 'NEED" a Raptor. My instruments show that as damn near zero percent of buyers.Honestly, if there is no more 800A, that is the biggest scam and a clear attempt to money grab.
My 21MY Gen 3 raptor is 800A.
I did MONTHS of research on what the 800A is prior to purchasing, and the differences between GEN2 vs. GEN 3 trim options.
800A has 90%, of EVERYTHING you would need and want for daily use - in COLD and HOT states/locations of the world.
The rest of that 10% is "nice to haves".
This made the 800A such a good value. My beef with Ford is they REQUIRED the 801A to even build the 37 package. 801A is a useless trim for me and waste of 4 to 5k$$.
Now they are 1) removing 800A and 2) making you pony up all that extra cash just for the 5.2L lol.
Ford is taking away all the real VALUE from the raptor and just making it a cash grab for the 0.1% of buyers.
I can't afford the V8 fuel and maintenance cost right now. But if I could, and I will soon when I ask for a promotion, I'm most likely trading in this raptor for a TRX and I'll probably still make $$ on my trade in, in this ridiculous market where a Supercharger Engine costs less than a 3.5 turbo lmao.
Think about it, the cost $$ from a 800A raptor to a 801A 5.2L is probably about 50k$. 50k for what, a stronger and better sounding engine? LMAO please - TRX in my opinion still sounds better because their power plant has a supercharger whine that the Ford supercharger doesn't have.
If I am going to spend 50k$ more for a better engine (sound and performance, and summer car), Im buying a second vehicle (C8, Shelby, Camaro, etc...), that has that better engine. I am not spending that 50k$ into the same truck lmao. That's a horrible decision.
Still waiting on this......lol. I am on my fourth Raptor now, All I get are dudes coming up and asking stupid sh it like “is that the v6 or the v8”, “are those tires stock” things like that. This is all well and good, if you actually 'NEED" a Raptor. My instruments show that as damn near zero percent of buyers.
The Tremor makes more sense but it isn't much of a p-anty dropper.

What if take the Tremor with the now base 5.0 motor and supercharge it? Yeah, Tremor lacks some of the sexy factor, but it'd be pretty damned quick. I don't think I'd go that route but I'm still on the fence between a new Tremor and a '19 or '20 Raptor. Just sent in a build to see OTD pricing:
2023 F-150 Tremor SuperCrew® 4x4 – 5.5' Box 145" W1E
3.5L V6 EcoBoost® with Auto Start-Stop Technology 998
High package 402A
Auto Start-Stop Removal 52X
Front-Axle w/Torsen® Differential 61T
Partitioned lockable fold-flat storage 60P
Twin Panel Moonroof 43V
Antimatter Blue Metallic HX
and it would be $65,393.41 + sales tax
If a frog had wings it wouldn't bump it's ass every time it jumped. Looks like Tremor comes with the 3.5, no?
Current and previous model years, yes. 2023 the 3.5 is optional and the 5.0 is standard on both trim levels. It's roughly a $700 difference in price, less if you look at invoice and more if you look at MSRP.
Like the Raptor, there is no more base level, so the former mid 401a is now 'base' and 402a is 'high'.
Huh, well that's good news then. The super charger will put you in raptor money territory, if not worse.
I was just making a point about people complaining about having to buy fully loaded Raptors.
So in other words, yours is a boxer dropper. LolStill waiting on this......lol. I am on my fourth Raptor now, All I get are dudes coming up and asking stupid sh it like “is that the v6 or the v8”, “are those tires stock” things like that.
