Several Dealers around here are still over MSRP on 2018s. Sure some are at MSRP now, but over MSRP is not uncommon. Ironic thing is they are still selling them at that price. Imagine that. Must be a bunch of really stupid people out there. HAHA It is somewhat interesting that some are so upset by others paying MSRP or over on a vehicle or anything for that matter. Is it envy or what. I am in with the stupid people I guess. I bought at MSRP and could not be happier. I am all for a good deal and all, but I am sure not going to obsess about it day after day. Life is too short.

Sam

Are you ok? Nobody should ever consider buying 2018 at MSRP. Not even $4k off msrp. That's not a good deal!
2018 near me right now is $4k off msrp all colors. Akinsford.com
2018 at klaben ford is selling $6k-$7k off msrp

Invoice is used to fool buyers into buying the car at a particular price. This is why dealers are willing to sell 2018 raptors at like $500 below invoice. Think about it first! the real invoice for any car is probably close to 20-25% of the MSRP.
This statement is alot more accurate than other comments here.

Trucks especially mass produced ones have a ridiculous markup. 20-25% is actually on the low end. If you knew what GM was making on the truck line, you'd spit out even more.

A Porsche dealer sells 20-30 cars a month. (special order and inventory) If the invoice and MSRP were actually true, they'd never stay in business. Yet they somehow manage to pay all the sales and staff, keep the lights on AND MAKE A PROFIT??? Sorry but you can have a monthly operational expense of that magnitude at say earning gross profit at $200K/month profit then zero it out as it would cost the same for this size dealership for operational expenses. Doesnt work that way.

Wow.. If you read what Matula wrote, he wrote that the "invoice was 20-25% OF MSRP"

Certainly you don't believe that a new Raptor with a sticker price of $75,000 has an invoice of $15,000 to $18,750, right?

Then on top of that is the ~3% hold back plus other incentives, so you are suggesting that Ford can built a new loaded Raptor with a $75k MSRP for $12,000?

I feel like I'm in some Bazarro world here. LOL

My bad I meant 75% of msrp. The invoice price is over inflated by at least 25%. Could be greater, but I believe it starts there.
I ****** up but I will man up on that!

I'm absolutely 100% fine. And enjoying my raptor every time I drive it. If I waited for the next best deal to come along I would be waiting like you. Tell you what, you buy your raptor for 10k off and I will not call you a fool for waiting so long. Deal??

I stand by that word. Invoice shown to us is so fake, it is fake news!
Merc dealer across the street had to buy $4 mil AMG PO to receive 36% markup.

You are completely forgetting about the service department and how much $$ they generate.

Are you sure you are not Donald J. Trump? You sure talk like him.

And you can stand by whatever you want but reality is still reality which is you can NOT afford a raptor.

I stand by that word. Invoice shown to us is so fake, it is fake news!
