For the price it’s actually pretty sweet I had a bakflip hard trifold previously and that was good but was starting to fall apart with the cable system they use to release the cover lock down this ford one has the spring loaded handles on each side in the interior that you pull down on them fold out if the way . It’s lighter then the bakflip but was also cheaper and it actually mounts almost on top of the bed so have like extra two inches inside height as the bakflip mounted so top was flush with bed sides. It appears be a quality item.

What I would consider a good deal in the Midwest to be the one for $63k with 3500 miles anything below $60K, which seems crazy but dealers just aren't budging on these things yet. I think you said that one was private party so he might be motivated. On the coasts, anybody's guess, maybe a couple of grand higher which gets you close to the asking price.

The other one $57K tops which is $10K off their asking price, so doubt they would take it, make sure the warranty is not voided for some reason.

These are both assuming they both are in good shape with clean CarFax.

My own feeling is a better deal could probably be found on new left over '17 for maybe only a few thousand more.

Yes the dealers are crazy in texas .. some wont budge on a 2017 at msrp asking 5-10k over and have 18s asking 15k sitting next to each other.

Been looking for about 2 months for a used private party sale (no tax in NV for private party sales). Everyone was asking too much, bank said used 17 values with 802a etc. was low to mid 60s but most were asking low to mid 70s with almost 10k miles and none would budge much on their prices.

I did however find a new 2018 Screw private party sale for under $67k (MSRP a bit over $66k) has 802a, etc. Needless to say I was stoked and the deal was better than I could have hoped for. My patience and persistence paid off on that one.

The deals are out there but few are far between and you need to look nationwide daily (craiglist and similar) and act fast when you find one. Most of the dealerships are taking advantage of the demand but you can get one for MSRP especially if you are willing to look nationally and/or get on a waitlist.

Cars.com etc. wasn't much help for me personally, all the "good deals" or MSRP deals listed in which I inquired came back with prices $10K+ over sticker.

Paid $300 hundred over sticker, no dealer doc or admin fees and no sales tax. Truck has less than 200 miles. Perfectly happy with that deal.

Then please enlighten all of us MGD and share some of these deals you know of. 2 months of looking and I didn't find anything close to that used or new, even with a "buddy" working at a local dealership. Best he could do was order at MSRP +tax, title, fees. The trucks they did have on the lot were purchased from other dealerships at $5k over MSRP and they wouldn't budge on the $10k markup. I guess he could be lying to me.
