2017 raptor key fob 8117 part number

Hello guys I have a 2017 with a key fob part numver 8117. Irs the coffin style fob with a 902 mhz. I want to upgrade my fob to the one that says Raptor and is rugged looking (8185 part number) and also is at 902 mhz. I was told that it might not work with my truck cuz it might have the 2016 ignition system. Is this true or as long as it has the same mhz frequency it'll work?

super easy to do if you already have two key fobs. I swapped to the newer style keys in less than 5 mins total.

The truck is new to me and it came with only one key, I’ve only had it for a month and I would like a second key.

Then you'll have to take the tuck and new key in and have the dealership program it. Doing it yourself requires two key already programed.

I bought this one, and was able to do it in less than a couple minutes. Great product, actually nicer than my OEM. But yes, If you don’t already have two keys on hand, you’ll need to go get one programmed.
