Just watched the 2024 run that was posted on youtube, looks like so much fun and people seemed great. Really makes me think the drive up there from Iowa would be worth it.

There’s a convoy from Chicago going up there. I don’t think there are any Snoball spots open for this year but do it next year! There are a few Iowa guys that go up there every year!Just watched the 2024 run that was posted on youtube, looks like so much fun and people seemed great. It was a fantastic event (while it lasted). An ******* rear ended me while driving/following too close over an icy road and didn't even have the balls to take the fault. At least, seems he's banned from all events around.
What ended up happening with insurance and that dude “Skot”?It was a fantastic event (while it lasted). An ******* rear ended me while driving/following too close over an icy road and didn't even have the balls to take the fault. At least, seems he's banned from all events around.
Will definitely be coming back next year! The camaraderie all around, the passion for the truck... can't beat that.
Answers to my own questions:
- Radio - handheld is enough if you keep close with the pack. Mounted is definitely the safest option.
- 3rd rear break lights - definitely a must have. The amount of powder going up makes it incredibly difficult to see the truck in front of you, except for these lights
- Straps/recovering gear - most teams have more than enough, but you should definitely be using your own as common sense if you're trying to get yourself out of a ditch.
- Tires - MT Baja Boss AT were superb! I could clearly see I had more traction than a couple of trucks in between. Ran them at 18-20psi.
- Tire rack - not absolutely needed as long as you have room for the spare in your bed and that you tie it up pretty good.
You're the guy he hit? Has that all been settled? I remember he was threatening to sue everyone and said your insurance was going to have to cover everything. I'm guessing you got a new truck based on your signature.
It was a public road and he rear ended me so there is no reason why he shouldn't have just owned it, which he never did. The truck was totaled - no wonder if you think a 2010 with aftermarket front bumper looking like construction piping, sliding behind you with his "custom made" tire treads. What ended up happening with insurance and that dude “Skot”?

He went on a rant on multiple places trying to bring people to his side and all he got was the opposite.
My insurance ended up covering and said they would deal directly with him. Since my premium wasn't bad, didn't even bother following through. What happened with insurance? Isnt Michigan a no fault state?
You bet! Thanks, brother. See you next year!Really crappy situation but Glad you’re ok! Thanks for the updates! Cya next year!
