2017 F-150 Raptor - Owner first impressions and review thread!

Hi Chief1,

The Lightning Blue looks great. How would you compare it to the Blue Flame? My 2014 is BF and to me the LB looks darker, but my BF can also look dark in certain lighting.

Also, is the LB a metallic paint like BF?

Quick update: I'm taking delivery next Wed or Thursday. Did a quick 20-min drive and as everyone has said multiple times, it's a great ride. I didn't notice the shifting as much as others in normal mode. Got it to around 80-85 pretty quickly and it didn't it feel like we were going that fast. Cabin is definitely overwhelming with all the new technology but I guess it will grow on me. Very quiet cabin as well and you don't really hear the rumble until you get on it and go fast.

Exterior: Being this is my first Raptor (or F150 in general), the sheer size was massive. I didn't remember feeling it was that big at the Philly Auto Show but seeing it in a packed dealer lot, gave me a different sense of scale and this truck definitely has that aggressive stance like the Gen1 and size. Just massive. I've got all the options except the Tonneau cover and ash tray. I plan on getting the Pace Edwards cover with rack rails so I can transport SUPs, surfboards, etc. I really do like the bedside graphics. Hood graphics are Ok but not a deal killer at all for me. So glad I chose Shadow Black with the tailgate appliqué.

- Lightning Blue without the graphics packages looks amazing in person. Way better than all of the press images we've seen so far.

Agreed, Lightning Blue in person is a fantastic looking color. I'm not a blue fan at all but the metallic paint makes it look deep, like you could put your hand in it. Crazy good looking color.

Truck looks great! looking forward to Ford releasing mine, built on10/27, its is helping keep the snow from getting on ramp 59! at least she is not spending Her first Christmas alone, about 2500 more raptors there keeping the snow from hitting the ground!
