I would test drive or co-drive alongside a Raptor owner from FRF that would be willing to let you see and feel a more personalized experience.

I would also say that the difference is up to you to decide - appeal, gas prices, versatility etc are all personal for each of us and how much we want or can afford.

All of us here love our Raptor.

But I have driven many kinds of cars and trucks - F150 Lariat to Benz and Porsche and I have to say that the interior of the Raptor may not have wood framing or glossy buttons but it still feels like so much more than that. Combined with the looks, power, handling, versatility on and off-road I would say the Raptor. Again and again. You will enjoy it and it is a class of its own for trucks.

Most of the people who hate the Raptor have never been in one and when they do they are surprised. A friend of mine was really upset that I bought a Ford. Brought him in the truck for a ride and he was more than impressed (he drives a Cayenne and Toyota Sequoia)

RAPTOR!!!!!

By the way, my SCAB averages 15-16 easy on the highway and 13-15 off-road. About the same as my old 68 Bronco lol! That's with 91 octane no ethanol gas (sorry Wilson). :)

My Raptor must have a gas leak some place.
Do you still have your 68? I have a 77 and looking at getting a 72.

I've decided that I'm going with the Raptor because I decided to run some hypothetical kelly blue book values of what older raptors would be worth today, I thought this could be used to project what a 2014 raptor would be worth in the future, what I found was that a 2013 raptor after a year of ownership would be worth about 52k while a denali would be worth 45k, I find that pretty shocking, after 3 years of ownership with 40k miles on it the Raptor is worth 45k and the denali is worth 36k, that is a huge drop consider the price of both is about 58-60k. I also am starting to get irritated by the repeat advertisement of the GMC denali that I see I tv, I can't stand when cars and trucks are over advertised and over produced it irritates me and it clearly drops the price of the vehicle. For example, I get very irritated by the way they have handled the Camaro, Charger, and Challenger, I felt the over production and lower price tag and V6 models have in a sense ruined the image of Rare Iconic american muscle cars. Based off of these reason I'm glad to say I will be going in within the week or two to place an order for a 2014 Raptor. I'm now deciding on Black or White, SE package or hood graphics. I like the SE rims much better than the regular rims so I think the SE package is a must, even though I don't like the digital camo bedside graphics that much, the black hides it I feel so I don't mind. I think I like the hood graphics best on white and it's okay on black so I think I am leaning toward Tuxedo Black, with SE package and hood graphic. I want to get one of the hard folding tonneau covers but I think I will have to order that aftermarket, or do dealerships usually offer those as accessories?

Thanks again guys for helping influence or guide me to make what I feel is the right decision!

After reading that other thread that popped up today, I'm not sure if I love or hate my Raptor! ;-)

Correction, I love this truck! 60,000 miles with only a minor electrical problem, knock on wood....
