2013 has reinforced frame?

Alright you have convinced the blindman, now I want to hear the official BS from Ford why they added the extra thickest to inside the frame. YEA, I know like they'll admit to it! WOW poor Bird has the thin frame and the V6. Maybe Ford will offer a retrofit for the older trucks lol. What is a great thing is the exposure by places like this put the problem up front and center.. Impossible to be ignored. Wonder what the composition of the added material is? Would love to know that. Discussed with one of the engineers at work that does this for a living and that was his comment.

What would be great if someone could get the internal documentation from Ford on this. Cannot wait to see the response when some of the rags pick up on this and put it in print.. Well maybe they won't unless they have no advertising $ from Ford.

Whys everyone so excited? Just because a year model has a weak spot does not mean they will retrofit older models.

I doubt that. This far up the frame wouldn't be part of the engineered crash protection.

Yeah, I'd like to know this as well. Does it solve the frame bending issue? How does it affect the cost/benefit analysis of a frame/bump stop kit?

Well now that puts me in a pickle. I was about to pull the plug and purchase RPG stage 3 for my soon to be built 13. Should I scratch that and get icons instead? Icon said they have had little damage without a bump kit. If that area is now reinforced, maybe it would prevent damage all together?
