Traded my 2017 Raptor in for 2020 Lead Foot with a $76k MSRP for $70.7k at Cook Ford in Texas City. I shopped around trying to get a good deal on a 19 and the most I could get off was $7k. Cook Ford gave me 1700 hundred more for my trade in than the others were offering, so I felt the 20 was the best deal. Didn't have to haggle with Cook as they have the 2020's advertised for ~$5k off.

If you flip trucks every couple of years (assuming maybe you do because you are already looking to unload a 2018), the smart money would take a $5,000 or so discount on a 2020 (the deals are out there advertised at that range) rather than fight tooth and nail over trying to get $10,000 off a 2019. The 2020 will be worth that much more when you go to unload it in a couple of years so it will essentially be a zero sum game. I go through the same thing with buying Porsches, which are my preferred daily drivers. Never worth haggling over the leftover model when I get more color and option selection on the newer car (or can order it to my spec) and then just get more when I change cars in 24-36 months.

Agreed! I was looking for a 20 when I ran across the 19. Thought they would like to move it being on their lot since Jan 19.

Already sold my 18 so just waiting for the right deal on a 20. I'm in no hurry to purchase.

Appreciate the insights!

Should be able to find deals on 2020s. I just picked up a 2020 leadfoot with Recaro $77,800 MSRP and paid $71,560. I had to also pay $1k to have it shipped from St Louis to FL but well worth it.

Got my 2019 Raptor SuperCrew, 802A Luxury Package for $67K, sticker price was $76K. had the dealership spray in a bed liner & tint the windows at no additional cost. Not sure dealers would be willing to take that much off now that we're in 2020.

Looking to replace my 18 with a 19 or 20. Was thinking if the deal was Great I would by a 19, however seems like the dealers just aren't willing to deal enough on a 19.

Example looked at a 19 Performance Blue $76 MSRP thought they might take -$10K off and dealer wouldn't take it. Crazy! Even if I could purchase it for $66K, would probably be a lot more that what it's worth?

Also the 19 has been on their lot for over 13 months.

Guess I will keep looking!

What’s wrong with your 2018 Raptor that you’re considering taking a financial hit for a 2019/2020? Just curious

Same exact deal here. 2019 802A with Recaros $75k sticker I got for $67k and had the dealer include a bed liner.

I had my tint guy I’ve used for many years for all my cars and home do the tint though.

My 2019 had a MSRP of 78,730.00, 802A package out the door with TTL was just a bit over 70k.
Panoramic, bead locks, bed liner, heated rear, carbon package and I absolutely love it.
Should’ve done this years ago, it flat out amazes me just how good it pulls my 21’ Skeeter.
The ride and drive is amazing.
