Wow, GSteve, sorry to read all of this. I'm all for patience and working with the dealer (after all stuff happens) but with only 150 miles on the speedo, I would consider asking Ford and your dealer for a new truck. Not to be paranoid, but I sooo don't trust local Ford Dealerships for heavy engine work. I've just had bad luck after bad luck over the years with Ford Dealer's repair work that I'm to the point I'll ignore little stuff as many times the cure is worse than the cause.

Not meaning to stir things up and wish you all the best, but looks like it might be time to bring up the subject of a new truck...

Good Luck and I do believe that Ford will make it right for you.

I have a call into the sales manager. That’s going to be what I ask for. Sucks to wait another 8 weeks. I drove by to see if my truck was actually being worked on. It isn’t. I’m going to wait until I actually see it with the intake off and the cyl heads in the floor before I lose my mind on them. Maybe the service writer thinks taking the engine cover off is taking the motor apart....

No it was filled at shell with 91 right away , the smell was more a unburned fuel smell. No codes , just the flashing engine light.
Thanks !

wouldnt be surprised if one of the cams ate the motor.

Any loud noises when it quit? like maybe a hose coming loose on the CAC?

Here's to hoping it is an easy fix, but im pretty sure it is new motor time.

No , nothing. Was odd , just a complete loss of power. Pulled over and it would barely idle. No odd noises even then , no smoke , just a 6 cyl running like a 1 cyl. When I’d babied away from a red light once I got to about 2,000 rpm it felt ok , no more miss firing , no power either if you added throttle.

Spoke to them again. The motor is coming apart. I told them I wasn’t thrilled about having a 90,000 ( Canadian ) truckbwith a motor that’s been apart. I agreed that I’ll accept it being repaired this time but if it get towed back again it’s staying there. They agreed.

Sounds like a broken valve spring

I'd be looking for a free warranty extension.

You paid them in Canadian money?????

Well maybe that's the problem then. Canadian money sucks. Maybe they left some parts out.
