B&O always does that type of design, it's part of their ID..

The salesperson lied to you, the B&O sounds way better than the Sony. Way better.

I'll reserve judgement until I hear it myself. Without a doubt Ford changed vendors because B&O undercut Sony on price. That's how big corporations make these decisions. If it was a truly superior system, Ford would have raised the price. They certainly didn't take a hit on their margins for our benefit.

But if you like it, that is the only thing that matters to you and I'm happy you enjoy it.

They should just have a real premium audio upgrade option as a line item and stop the Tomfoolery with these b.s audio systems. sony, b&o whatevr is not really their premium systems. they were specifically made as cheap shit at a premium margin at the customers expense #imo

They did raise the price from 2017 to 2018.

They also raised the price from the beginning of 2017 to the end of 2017 with no changes at all. If the B&O was truly the top end system that the name implies it would have been a costly upgrade like it is Audi (~$5K) and Ford would have to offer it as a standalone upgrade so that they could keep their MSRP and package prices close to the 2017 and only gouge those who choose the upgrade.

Sound systems offered by manufacturers don't HAVE to be junk. The sound system in the wife's Infiniti is amazing, and it was standard with the package we ordered. It was offered as an upgrade on the lesser models. Offer it, and they will come. Not offering is just admitting they are still stuck in the American Auto think - just put something in it because they'll just bitch no matter what we offer......

I think it's funny how we all talked for months about how the system was pretty much just a branding exercise and to not expect much, yet now everyone's all up in arms that the truck didn't come with an actual $120,000 B&O system.
