I picked up a 2018 raptor with the B&O system. I had a 2013 with the sony system. the 2013 sounded much better. I didn't even realize I had a sub until I puleed the rear drivers side seat down. I was surprised to see a sub there. Although not much comes out of it. I was looking at the radio to figure out if there are any settings to change this?
Also wondering if the kicker sub will work. Crutchfield says yes, but I need to double check because other places say no.
FWIW I find the BO system almost identical to the Sony system from my 2015 King Ranch. So much so that I do wonder if they have actually changed out the speakers, or if it's just the decals on the center.
There are settings in the Sync menu to adjust Bass and Subwoofer output. Just go there and make adjustments before you change out any speakers. I do not think the kicker will be any better than the stock speaker. I guess there is always the chance that your sub is defective, unlikely but possible.

Me too....I didn't expect much from the sound sys, and it met my middle of the road expectations...I'm not much of an audiophile so didn't loose too much sleep. My last truck (2004 Titan) had a pretty good sub under my seat, but really my 18' dosen't seem to much bass at all....I didn't even realize I had a sub until I puleed the rear drivers side seat down.
