My 2018 went in for cam phasers today. The noise at cold start began about 2 weeks ago. Last friday, it was knocking at any speed unless it was under load. I was about 150 miles from home when it got really bad. Wasn't sure if I was going to make it back or not. My mechanic didn't...
Just to close the loop on this... I purchased a new APIM from eBay (guy out of Ohio, none of that Chinese knock-off crap). I paid $$$ for it. But, at least it was VIN programed and I didn't have to go to a dealer.
It was plug-and-play! My settings were even saved when I fired the truck up...
Oh I see what you mean. Yeah that's true, there is a lot going on. The system worked flawlessly for 6 months.
I noticed while using CarPlay a few weeks ago that the nav was "freezing". Both on the Google Maps and Waze apps. It would keep repositioning every 5-8 minutes or so and then freeze...
Hi All,
I'm having an issue with the Navigation signal. The stock Sync shows a "GPS" icon with a red circle/cross through it on the screen. I have the Autotec screen in the truck and that standalone nav works (but with CarPlay it doesn't because that system uses the stock navigation in the...
Well done. Kinda sad to hear about the ZR2. I kinda liked the styling. Too small for me, but so is a Tacoma these days (I've had 3 of those). Enjoy the new truck!
Nice! I put the Mori taillights on mine (smoked) a few weeks ago. They are way brighter than the stockers. I've been curious to see how much brighter the DRLs are on the headlights. But haven't seen them in person yet. Maybe in the spring, I'll replace the headlights and all the markers to...
I've got into the routine of going in and reinstalling the TCM tune via Cobb every 1000 miles or so. The Accessport clears the learning automatically when I do this.
Leave it to Ford to make it's parts "learn" to be :poop: . I really hate the trans in this thing.
That is a beautiful color on your new Fiero! :dogpile: It's amazing how far the platform has come since 1984. :leghump:
Seriously though..... it's a great car. The guys I know that have them LOVE them. Good luck with it and thanks for your contributions to the FRF while you were here. :peace:
Don't forget complimentary damage to all under-hood bolts, clips, and fasteners :deal:... also the Weight Savings Plan is included... where if they don't break bolts, clips, and fasteners, they just lose them or leave them on the bench. :secret:
There are a few professional senior techs out...
Well, it's a PITA from the bottom (laying on the ground). But removing the plate for the oil filter is "supposed to" expose the mouth of the drip pan under the filter. However, the oil NEVER flows out that way. It always runs out the back side and through a hole in the big skid plate. I swear...
