This has been consistently the case since at least 2006 though. I've moved in and out of California multiple times and helped friends and family workaround U-Haul's pricing scheme doing the same.
Pro-tip: Check cities even a couple hundred miles away from your origin and destination...
I think this thing is exactly like the 2003 GM Inverter/Generator setup. The "generator" is the 3.5L Ecoboost. There's a big battery pack and an inverter that can deliver 7.2KW (or 2.4KW). When battery pack / current draw / fuel available hits certain thresholds engine starts/stops.
Rigids seem to be the brightest of these...
I have the amber BD item.... I do like them as fogs (in yellow), but they're not a huge difference over the headlights. Nice to use to increase visibility of truck to others though.
See this post for garage pics of my BD yellow SAEs vs Squadron...
Looks like they replaced the gauge faces with these aftermarket ones: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/new-gauge-faces.13844/
Congrats on the new truck!
Extremely happy with it so far, just saw first snow (after not having lived somewhere with snow for a decade). This was the feature I missed most when i went from a GMC Sierra to a 2011 Raptor. And this implementation seems far superior to the GM AutoTrac.
Only issue that bugs me is...
Like any traditional pickup "suspension lift" It's just a spacer that moves the front suspension down 4" away from the frame. It structurally compromises and weakens the truck, changing the load path of forces taken by the front end. With a truck that's designed to go fast and sometimes do so...
The dealer is asking you to commit insurance fraud? That would mildly suggest that they might also be more than happy to commit fraud against you.
Run away.
Gen 1s are rated by Ford at 411hp on 91 and 401hp on 87. It's in the Raptor Supplement manual: https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/2014-F-150-SVT-Raptor-Supplement-First-Print_rp_en-us_09_2013.pdf
Most engines can increase performance, be it max power or...
I saw something slightly like this with the 3.4 update I think, along with a few other wacky glitches, like the physical "MEDIA" button no longer switching to next source once it got to FM. I did the "master reset" from settings/general (I think that's where it is).
Depreciation on Tacos is similar to a Raptor, if not less.
Buying a used Taco seems like a dumb idea to me given that new ones are nearly the same price.
I remember looking at this and seeing a video where they said you have to trim some of the shutters to make it fit. I think that's not the case on the BD item (don't have either).
Yep, disables 911 assist and also your speed limit indicator appears yrup-style, white circle with black numbers and red ring around it (looks better imo, still in MPH)
I have a couple minor mods that make me worried about changing anything here...
1.) I disabled my LTE Modem (pulled fuse). Just want to make sure it doesn't bitch about this all the time. 3.3 does not care at all, no annoying popups or anything.
2.) I used forscan to enable...
No one really knows. Between Gen 1 and Gen 2 there was a two-year gap of no Raptor. But Gen 2 and Gen 3 (13th and 14th generation of F-150) are extremely similar (they changed doors/fenders/grille/tailgate slightly, but frame and structure are the same....the big change for 2021 F-150 is major...
