BYE BYE Raptor, Hello Greatest truck ever. TRX who? Did everyone see how soft the Hummer landed while it was jumping BAJA style? I've put $200 down on mine to make sure I have the first one.

I tried to reserve the Edition 1, but was too late as they were sold out. It’s going to be pretty wild for sure.

So air suspension is the way of the Baja trucks future? Hummer and Tesla? In this inflated mode will the trucks drive on a semi soft air shock? Hard to believe the air system will have enough capacity to empty and refill shocks in between jumps and maneuver’s to perform in real-time however.

Did anyone see the 11,500 ft/lb of torque figure? I'm guessing we're using figures right off the super charger, and not numbers we'll actually see in production.

These torque numbers are ******** "wheel torque"

So assuming Raptor driveline losses reduce effective engine torque to 400 lb/ft from rated 510 lb/ft number....

4.10 (axle ratio) * 4.6957 (first gear) * 400lb/ft = 7,700lb-ft of torque.

Now multiply that by 2.64 (for low range) = 20,330 lb-ft.

Nice thing about Hummer and other EVs though is that's at zero RPM and with precise control. But it isn't 20 times the torque of a conventional powertrain.

Saw a vid that explained the 11,500 wheel torque break down. The equation aside, it comes out to 1000 lbs-ft of total system torque that the First edition Hummer can produce.

The 0-60 3s time is also done by selecting a mode, “Watts to Freedom”. In this mode and when permittable, you can engage it. I imagine battery-motor temp and voltage needs to be in spec to allow it.

Not downplaying some great performance. But these EV’s have some special modes and features, that might not be available full time. Also the released specs need to be looked over well. Upfront they look behind dazzling. A lot to learn.

Charging from 20 percent to full on a standard at-home Level 2 charged will take just 30 hours.

Hefty price aside, doesn't that pretty much eliminate it being used as daily driver? If the range is 350, and it takes 30 hours to get 80% of that...it works out to...

350 milesx.8= 280 miles
280 miles/30 hours = 9.3 miles per hour charge.
Assume charge of 10 hours per day, you have a range 93 miles a day before you start losing overall charge.

I guess you could make that work, but this appears to be more of second vehicle/toy type of purchase.
