I don't think anybody is disputing the fact that you can see gains with 93 over 87. It is well known and proven. I think people are arguing the point that you can safely run 87 and have almost as much fun on your daily commute, should you choose to.
I get what you saying - for me that was my last GMC Denali 2500 and it took selling it and getting the raptor to make me happy. Prior to the 2500 I had a 1500 with the 6.2L that I loved and put 150k miles on, I just couldnt connect with the HD. Look for a mint Titan in the style you like -...
i use it a lot, harsh sometimes but its supposed to be. it keeps you right where you want to be with spirited driving and the downshifting works nice.
where you sled racing?? back lake??
You will realize quickly that everyone is quick to jump on and air out their problems which is okay because every brand and every model has some form of them and it sucks for the people that have had problems. You also have a fair share of people who wanted a V8 and cant accept the ecoboost - so...
17k here - no issues other than a bad LED on my grill and a frozen door latch that was quickly sorted out by my dealer and no issues since. Love the truck and I always find an excuse to drive it. This is my first Ford - I have been GM through and through but got tired of waiting for something to...
That motor in this truck would be an absolute animal. 760hp daily driver that can do it all in a crew cab truck, on or off-road, in any weather, and pull a trailer.
Sign me up.
messing with the geometry and realigning etc is the only thing holding me back. plus i tow and these things sag enough already, being nose high might look even worse with a trailer on
i love the look though
You can, but you will need to travel for one and you will also have to be willing to accept one with some miles on it - most of these are 17s with 60k+ miles but are in that price range...
I need that fumoto valve - never had such a mess doing a simple oil change in my life!!!
I too run Mobil 1 synthetic with the Mobil 1 filter - I always have and always change every 5k with every vehicle and never even a hiccup with any of them and I typically run them hard
The website says $42k for base conversion - which I supposed isn't all that bad. I would figure a nice example of one of those Super Dutys required to convert could be had for $35k ish with the new body style out. Figure $80k and you have something extremely cool and unique and you most likely...
That is pretty cool, cant be many if any others down there. I was down in Antigua last year and they had a pretty legit Japanese car scene. Supras, Rx7s etc... Not much of anything America though. They even have a drag strip, I was impressed.
Headed to the BVI's for New Years on a Catamaran...
I get from other raptors in MA and I always wave back. They are few and far between where I am so its easy to spot one coming. On the other hand, I do ride a harley quite a bit and I never wave back - its just too much waving at every bike on the road.
plus 1 here for timbrens as an easy and cost effective solution, especially if you want to stay stock ride height. i swap mine in and out when i plan to tow heavy. they take a max of 15-20 mins to change over and they work excellent with weight on. without weight the truck rides horrible so you...
it seems crazy that they wouldn't just update it to the metal pan with proper provisions. I am lucky enough to have a metal pan but when I first read about this issue it boggles my mind to think Ford wouldn't put the latest and greatest improvements and take care of this once and for all.
I have the weather tech as well and I am happy with it, its a quality piece. I have it on the gate as well. I would agree that you could run it with no issue with a bed liner as long as you had a bed cover.
Mine do it a tad too if its light. I always wax the glass and use rain-x washer fluid. I barely need wipers even in moderate rain, it beads right off. I still have the factory blades on at 11k and they are working well.
I went from a 15 denali 2500 leveled tires etc....I drove the raptor once and never looked back. Your fuel economy wont be any worse than what you are getting. I average 15-16 for the most part. Towing with weight will be a different ball game. Power is there but they do sag in the rear with...
love this attitude!! it usually takes a life changing event to realize this, i feel the same way....get it fixed and get back to enjoying your raptor!! good luck with the repair
