You have to email them every couple of days, Whipple is still a small company and Michael does not always remember.
They do it to me as well. Luckly, I haven't had an issue in years (knock on wood) and I'm not upgrading any more.
Yeah, if you have the SCT Handheld Tuner device with your stock tune and tune from a tuner on it, is not a problem.
The problem is the people who buy a used Raptor, usually do not get the Tuning device with the truck.
@BSouders80 @bwep
What wattage? I see 1 watt and 2 watt kits on Amazon.
Also can someone provide a picture, I tried this years ago but I never got it to work as claimed.
That's for both C and E,
I have the E class since they stopped making the D, to me it's a much safer option.
Some are convinced that the C class is slightly lighter in weight for better rotational mass and
softer ride and cheaper.....to each their own, it's not the way I roll.
You'll want to...
Tires set at 38 front and 34 to 36 rear, is the sweet spot.
I'm sure I don't need say this...but, wheel alignment, swaybar end links, tie rods and ball joints all need proper inspection.
Excessive water in the bottom of the tank from high ethanol content fuel is something to consider.
Or just getting one fill up of bad gas in general can do harm as well.
I always use both http://www.starbrite.com/startron and Chevron Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner
Not sure if you do but a good practice is to not have the engine running while filling up.
And not topping off by clicking more with the gas pump.
A vacuum leak can do all kinds of funky things, that's for sure.
Same with a weak battery.
Fuse #27 relocation kit was done is another item to...
While checking the tranny fluid is a good idea,
I didn't mention tranny fluid because I'm pretty certain it's the items I mentioned in my earlier post.
If the fluid was low, it would have a delay going into gear and not shifting correctly.
Is the check engine light on?
Do you have an OBDII scanner to find error codes?
When was the last time you cleaned the Mass Air Flow sensor?
Clean or change air filter.
Clean the throttle body blade.
Check for corrosion at the electrical connections at the TB and all three PCM connections.
You...
@radelow
Try going down to the starter and check the connections, they do come loose and/or corroded in between the cable eye terminal ends.
With the truck off the battery should be just over 13 volts up to 13.7, over 14 volts when running.
Anything under 12.7 with truck off, will start...
Yeah, for years on this forum it was always suspected that there are three different cams.
One for standard, heavy duty and then the Raptor. I too, never could confirm this either.
There is a difference between Tuning from Ford for all three setups.
The only person I know of on this forum that...
I wouldn't go with a dry filter on a SC Raptor, it will be too restrictive.
If your truck is Naturally Aspirated, then a dry filter will be fine.
An aftermarket CAI does very little to none for HP.
Also, you can use a filter sock like I do when needed.
I also have two filters so one is always...
LOL, no problem on tuner device.
You are certainly not the first person to have this problem with not having the Tuner Device and the Tune.
The Gen 1 is all computer just not as many new gadgets the Gen 3 has over the Gen 1

Do you have the SCT X4 handheld Tuner device?
Remember the original factory stock Tune will not work on a SC vehicle.
So, looking to get that OEM NA stock Tune is a waste of time.
Sounds like you have no choice but to stick with Whipple's support, it's their Tune anyway.
Now that does not mean...
Call Whipple, they may help you.
You might have to pull out the PCM (which is really easy)
and take a pic of the calibration code, Serial number and give them your vin #
Whipple will sell a tune and so will others. Tune and a Handheld device combo usually will be a little cheaper.
In my case I have the original stock tune but I don't have it on the handheld device.
I have the Whipple Tune backed up as the stock Tune and the Whipple Tune as a Tune file.
This way...
I would upgrade, I did, but my stock oil pump gears shattered in less than 900 miles after Supercharging.
JDM and Shelby detune for that reason but that doesn't mean you 100% safe.
The main problem that is going on is,
most have bought these trucks second hand and most do not have the handheld tuner device, so the stock tune is gone and so is SC Tune.
Shelby does not offer the Tune just like Roush, that would be a liability.
There are certified Shelby and Roush Ford Dealers/Installers!!!!!
And NO, Ford Motor Company does not make Whipple or Roush Raptors.
In your case since it was installed by Shelby it will have the Whipple Tune customized for Shelby Raptors. (slightly detuned) because Shelby does not upgrade the...
Not sure why these recall letters are coming out now, probably got sued I'm guessing.
This is a pretty old TSB like 9-10+ years old, that it was an issue with certain stock calibration strategies.
I just did a quick check using the forum search tab and a few popped up with the wording I used...
I have to be honest, the Roush Tune is garbage.
Do some research on here everyone who switch to the JDM Tune absolutely loves it. Shifting and HP gains are huge upgrades.
And you will have your own Tune on a SCT Handheld device to do with whatever you want.
Plus, the JDM Tune has the tranny...
@Reaper_247
I used this filter sock in the winter months to prevent salt and slush from soaking the filter.
You do feel a very slight reduction in HP. But it's a better option than using a closed or barely open CAI box.
