Ideally. In a perfect would there would be both a v6 and v8.
Personal I would want a lightweight V6 EcoBoost engine in the gen3 raptor. I love having a lightweight truck with massive torque.
For V8 guys/girls, I hope you get an engine that meets your expectations.
I don't think you will have an issues finding part for it for over a decade. Ford parts website still has all the part for my 2004 excursion even the entire 6.0L Diesel engine. I checked real quick and they still have all the part. I was planning on replacing parts as need. Until it got taken...
What I would like to see.
1.) matching powder coated front and rear bumpers leaving all the driving tech remaining within the off road bumper. With integration off lights (light bar and fogs, rear ambers) that do not interfere with the front cam view for off-roading. And winch integration as...
Yeah the Ecoboost is doing bad with a 6 speed compared to the v8 with 8 speed. Your right it will not Benefit from a ten speed. What was ford thing it should be worse

In normal mode on the highway. I wouldn't...
I'm pretty sure you can come up with bunch of random shit that has little influence.
1.) Get an aftermarket grill, and the best part is you don't need to add the front camera if you don't like it... although it might be part of a package.
2.) yeah the aluminum is more expensive but if...
Yes. There's a documentary about it. They spent about 10 hours trying to fix it because the 6.2 engine wouldn't turn over after a test run. There were a could of other issues during the race
To the point of this forum
Does anyone know how it's doing? It started today? Has anyone seen it running? Does anyone have video of it driving? It would be nice to get eyes on with a fresh look? Can anyone give actual information about it beside crying about the upgraded shocks that your going...
Yesterday I received an offer to work at ford in the sales department. The only catch is I am going away for Military training from March to June. So along as I don't receive a good job offer in my field of study I will be starting up in July, in the Buffalo, NY area.
Basically as a...
Alright thinks for the information. So basically I'll just have to see any after market mod or see if that changed to design a bit. Knowing that raptor owner are going to remove stock or place an light bar or winch. But more like after maket mods.
So does anyone know if it will be in issue to mount a hidden winch behind the bumper because the intercooler for the Ecoboost?
Unless you know where I can get a NEW!! GEN 1 at market in a year. I don't need any bull. This is a GEN 2 forum thread if you want to complain about it do it with...
hand wash. if you cannot hand wash use the laser/ touchless car washes to get the salt off. another good option is to use chemical guys ecosmart waterless wash, it cleans and waxes the car quickly.
https://youtu.be/lbGfxCFhuzA they even wash a raptor in this video

Can we all agree on one thing
It's a raptor, if its a 2010-2014 or a 2017. It still has the raptor name and it's still going to be fun to drive, well anywhere you want, right.......
When i do get my raptor im not going to say " my raptor is better then your because _______!" what i am going...
There are many different reason I think I will be awesome, here is a few from a raptor prospect:
1a.) The [GEN 2] 3.5L EcoBoost. Yes [GEN 1] had misfire issues after modifications but it was the first EcoBoost engine Ford built. I had a 6.0L powerstroke had some issues but was a great engine...
thank you. and yeah I have a plan I just hope I don't have to use up all the saving for the Raptor during purchase, so I can do some of the needed mods. mainly lighting
Always followed the news on the raptor and I recently graduated and commissioned into the army reserves. So once I get on my feet I'll be buying new raptor, honestly I'm looking at buy to get a 2020 Blue raptor and if all goes well I'll be paying cash for it.
I had a ( bought new) 2004...
