Replace it with a tiregate and store it in your basement. That's what I did 
Here's a good way, unless there carring the right tools to remove it.

Where I live there are more rednecks with F150's than minorities.
Really ****** ones too. Definitely Trisomy 21 candidates.

If their tailgates have the camera or the man step, then their tailgates are at just as much risk of being stolen as yours is.

Here is what I did, it was a couple of bucks at the hardware store, and I don't think someone could get it off as easy as the MasterLock:

MasterLock only states that it "prevents" theft. I personally had a Bully brand but it scratched into the paint because it was all metal, like the Masterlock. I ended up going with McGard because it was metal but with a plastic sleeve and it hasn't harmed the paint for the last year. But even that one only "prevents"

Tailgates with a camera I heard cost around $2200 to replace. I personally would start looking on Craigslist, might get lucky and yours will be on there. I let you think of what can happen next....

i have the master lock as well but im really **** about making sure ive locked the tailgate with the key lock. i check it every time im not sure ive locked it
