why in the world would you create a boost leak? LOL

The boost leak is minimal, and is the best insurance for misfires. I have this on my Taurus SHO for several years, and was on my 2012 eco f150. Reliability has not been great on either. My 6.2 Raptor has been bulletproof

no issue here with my SHO. you dont create boost leaks, period. if you have an issue address it with the correct fix.... not some back yard hack shit.

There is no fix to stop it from building condensate. The only solution is to evacuate it. You do realize that the majority of f150 ecoboost trucks have this hole now, right? There is a STICKY topic for it in every f150 forum.

A lot of people did. SDHQ built one back in 2011. And the rumors of the pending ecoboost switch drove a lot of guys to get off the fence and buy a Gen 1.

and the reasoning behind that? Quick..buy it now before they go and put more power in....

No one knew how much power the truck would have until just before it actually launched. Regardless, there's a lot of reasons not to like the new engine.

If you looked at my past posts, thats why I'm in on a 2019. these new ones are fun and everything but definitely not a long term keeper. My 13 fx4 eco was a good truck to me . loved the turbo feel no problems but at 85000 mi thats about long enough for me. This ones the same, at the rate i'm putting miles on I hope the 19's are out late 18 whatever the changes are. Eco 5.0/4.blah, turned up 3.5, hybrid, don't care just along for the ride, surprise me Ford i'm no hater.

Idk what majority you're referring to but I've had 4 to this point and none of them had any issues whatsoever. This last eco I'm driving right now is actually the most potent of the 4, and for some odd reason has more butt-dyno power.

None of them have/had a weephole either, including the 2011 we still have that has 100K miles.

You're a smoke blower bro.

Also, you conveniently gave me the part # to the 2015+ intercooler, of which is the same for the 2017 Raptor... here have been no misfire threads on 2015+ ecos due to condensation that I have been able to find. Thanks man.

Just drill the ******* hole and ask questions later.

It's only a small boost leak..haha! Not to mention the air that's now being sucked in on the cold side. Hell, the computer won't mind additional air.
