I see that there isn't any Loctite debris on the rod bolt, so that would make sense since it was never installed. Maybe some pissed off factory worker tossed this in the pan on his last shift? Was your truck built on a Friday?

I don't know when the engine was assembled, but I think the 6.2 is assembly line style, so who knows how it got in there. I looked at each cylinder jug, and the one at TDC from underneath was fairly deep, but I still can't imagine an bolt just dropping in there and no one noticing. But I do know one thing,... I'll never know!

Hopefully the warranty will come through and all will be well. I'm hoping Ford will do the right thing.

I'm als hoping without that extra weight, , my front end will sit higher so I won't need to do the mid Perch!
I also got it documented that the truck was improperly towed .

Improperly towed? Only according to your owners manual and Ford Motor Co.! Buford the tow truck driver said it's fine and a roll-back would definitely not be needed! Who you gonna believe?

Yep, and was assured by the ford roadside assistance that only a flatbed would be dispatched!

Sounds like this story has a happy ending. Now go beat the **** out of your truck and jump it a few times!

"Bolt" as I call her is still sitting on the hydraulic pedestal of shame at the dealer with her skirt up, waiting on a pan gasket and skid plate bolts.
Hopefully she will go back together in style and be frisky on Monday.

I still might put a hundred lb force magnet on the oil pan just in case that bolt had a brother!

Well I felt that with all the shame and trauma "Bolt" has had to endure by me sharing the dirty laundry on this forum, I bought her a welcome home Christmas present I'll give to her when I get her back.

A shiney new JLT Oil Seperator will be waiting for her. Along with a Ford a Racing oil filter and 7 qts of Amsoil Signature series.

Welcome home girl, welcome home.

I googled it not much on it but a few Chevy and other makes as well.

I suppose the GOLDEN BOLT program is alive and well inside Ford.

I wish it was like Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory....."I found a golden ticket! "

Ford says "Guess what Raptor customer # 67,309 you get free oil changes for life for finding a bolt in your oil pan!"

Oops sorry , I went to my fantasy happy place for a second there. I can't wait to call my RCSM and pull teeth and launch into why I feel like Ford should warrenty the motor beyond normal. Love those conversations......
