From what I am reading and hearing about the Raptor 21 vs 22 issue the end result is this……….a Ford Raptor is a limited edition, very high demand vehicle that is leading the truck world in demand. The 21 will have a few functions that the 22 will not have and aside from that they are basically the same vehicle regardless of whether it is mfg dated 21 or 22. Once again as previously stated, mileage is what counts on these trucks. I’m paying about $84 grand for my truck that was ordered in June, loaded minus the 37’s. My sales friend told me he got calls from other dealers in California and Texas the day my VIN was issued offering to buy my truck for $20 grand more than I am paying. That’s $104,000 !! And folks are saying now they believe a realistic value in March will be upwards of $120 grand. That’s the power of demand. Folks that have money want these trucks and they can’t get them! I hate this waiting, but I don’t have much choice. However, financially, it is worth it. I will have a brand new loaded Ford Raptor while many, many others who want one will have to get in line and have BIG bucks to have one. Just like others on this site have said repeatedly, it’s supply and demand. At least this time it is working in my favor.
Sorry I cannot help but sound like an idiot, what will the 2021 have that the 2022 does not? I believe everything you wrote is 100% correct and I am waiting for the 37 I ordered in July. My original intent was to take delivery and sell it if I did not like it, no I will keep it, not for an investment, but because it is a rare vehicle.

oh god, here we go again with the "a 21 truck isn't worth the same as a 22". Take a peek at the 6,000,000,000,000,000 other threads. Years don't matter, mileage does. Where are the mods?
What are the mods going to do? Hand you a tissue while you wait for your truck? Are you a little over sensitive right now or what, bro, easy, nobody is banging your wife, that you know of.

I heard tell that everything that requires a microchip to function will either be left off or an additional option for the 22s and beyond. Still a rumor, but makes sense. Which is why any 801a package appears to be delayed even further.

Not much really... a couple small items. 2022 will not have digital readout one the climate controls, it is up on the screen, and no LED in cupholder... otherwise the same afaik.
Resale will not be impacted by more than a couple percent comparing 2021 to 2022 similar vehicles with similar mileage for the Raptor. Look at a 2019 to 2020 equally configured... it isn't significant.

So I’m in the same boat… ordered June 10th

Blend 11/6 and have had my delivery date change like 10 times, most recently from 1/17 to 2/27. I called my dealer after being told by FP the day before the delivery date change that my truck was off hold and “received by the shipper”.

How does it go from being in the shipping process to a delivery date out another 6-7 weeks now.

Anyway… they called the zone rep and was told that 2500 raptors (mine included) are still just sitting waiting for marker lights.

Yet, 2022 models are landing at dealers already?

Blend 10/5/21
Built 12/15/21

ETAs have gone from 12/31/21 to 1/3/22, to 1/12/22 and changed two days ago to 1/29/22. I thought that was a bummer but seeing February and March 22 ETAs is frightening. I dont really mind the wait just wondering how the truck is cared for wherever it is parked :(

I really hope with all the snow they are getting up there these trucks are at least covered with plastic tarp or something. If they were driven on salted roads without the under carriage being washed right after I’ll be a little upset. If mine comes and there’s rust underneath that’s when I’ll be pissed. Otherwise I don’t mind the wait. Just gives me more time to save more cash to pay off the principle and since I’ve been driving my girlfriend’s sedan/turned off insurance I’ve saved around $1500 since late October when I sold my jeep. Thank god I’m working from home!

Also just found out I’m in same boat as OP, ETA shows 03/09/22. Fml that’s a long time away. I wonder how ford decides what trucks get pushed through and which wait?
