John Dee forecast for the UP:

"5-10 DAY FORECAST:

I hate to sound so negative, but the bottom line is, the outlook for this period looks even worse than the 1-4 day period. There is little to no system snow seen to occur and little to no LES is seen either.

In fact, temps actually look to start to warm by Friday and the weekend, but will likely stay below freezing for highs in all of the Northwoods. However, by the first half of next week, it looks like a west to east flow will import mild Pacific air into the region and cause temps in most of the region to rise to above freezing for highs. It is possible that some locales in the far northern Northwoods could see temps remain just below freezing for highs, but the threat is certainly there for all areas to see some level of thawing occur.

11-16 DAY FORECAST:

The pattern for this time frame sees temps to cool back down enough to remove any chances for thawing across the Northwoods, but areas to the south could still see some daytime highs go above the freezing mark. There also does not look to be much in the way of new system snows to occur, with some light to moderate LES possible in this time frame."

Im in upper Minnesota and we havent seen much snow. Even up close to Canada at my parents place theres not much snow at all. I remember when i was younger and we used to just get dumped on here. Hopefully we get some more, especially in the UP. Here it has been a few inches here and there and then it melts away. We should ask the Tahoe area if they can send us some of the snow they have been hit with. 5'8" in 72 hours last week!!!

Hey guys, the prerun was great.

We made some changes for the better also made some changes do to road closures. There is one more requirement that every truck now needs. An DNR ORV sticker, they can be purchased online if you are out of state.

We learned a lot of things and had a blast!

Most of us won at the Lac Veiux Desert Casino. Up North Lodge food was incredible. Zero gas issues you can do the whole thing with three tanks of gas easily. All stations where in bigger towns with multiple stations.

The road we are going to do at night day 1 is flat out amazing! If the snow totals stay close to the same there will be some air possible on the truck trails. The off-road sections of day 2 are just as fun. Some really slow sections and some very high speed sections.

If you have a android phone or tablet backcounty navigation is awesome! A lowrance would be great but the backcountry or a Garmin should be able to do it.

I will have more info soon!

is the sticker the same as the snowmobiles? If so most gas stations near a trail should carry them
