Nice day, windows down and first I heard the rumble. I look out to see a Dodge rolling up on me. I think we are going to be both first at the next stop light, but a Prius turns in front of me. So I check out the badging, SRT-10, I tell my wife, “that truck has a V10!” I then told her to, “watch this truck!” Yup, he couldn’t resist, layed a patch of rubber and smoke! I later looked it up, Dodge SRT-10 has the Viper V10, 500 horsepower. Maybe the Prius saved me the embarrassment, I would have tried!

Wouldn't say "problem" but the Regular cab SRT-10's were only manual.

Years ago when they were more around on the streets I would find some in my modded Lightning.
Driver mod was the biggest issue for those trucks.

The Quad cab was an automatic transmission, 4 speed from the diesel IIRC, so some guys had more consistent races.

If he knew how to drive it, a stock 3.5 Raptor would of lost a close race.

Can't say for the dodge. But my 23 Lincoln Aviator with 400hp seems faster than my 24 Raptor with 450hp. Especially if you put the Aviator in excite mode. I figure it has something to do with the tires. They are close to the same weight pound for pound. Or maybe the aviator is tuned correctly and my Raptor isn't. But imo a stocked 801 isn't that fast. I'm pretty sure my 2020 continental with 400hp was quicker than both vehicles as well.

Boost tubes, intercooler, ford pro cal and JB4 can give ya a good snap but def not going to be a dragster. Like everyone saying, there’s a lot that will beat us off the line but these are Baja trucks. Theirs few stock vehicles that will beat us Offroad.

I remember when my 2013 MKS TT 365 HP first hit the streets it was awesome. Had the same engine as the taurus SHO but loaded to the 9s with tech and luxury. Lincoln was giving them away too because people thought the grill was ugly.. At the time, I searched the market and there wasn't anything close to it as far as HP and technology that was in a reasonable price range. I would line up with all these rice burners and just blow them away. Car was heavy, but boy did it move for the time period. Me and that ugly grill got the last laugh. For those that don't know. Ford and Lincoln pioneered a lot of the tech that you see today. Nothing has really changed tech wise except blue cruise.

Id be shocked if there are any truly stock SRT 10s still around. There used to be a relatively deserted patch of HWY Id mess around on near me. I was going 120 in my 370Z at the time and see a pickup coming up on me quick in the rear view mirror. I stomped on it when he was at least 15 car lengths behind me and he got to my door at 150 mph and then I barely started to creep ahead. (aero dynamics eventually took a toll on him) It was a 4 door SRT 10. I doubt that thing was stock. From a dig an eco with a tune should be able to do pretty well against a stock one just better hope there isn't a turbo lurking around in there.
