Yep a set of Dever springs...
Thanks to SDHQ for putting me in touch with raptorinfrisco so I could by his old springs.
I was told they had 50 miles on them and they sure do look like it..
I followed the SDHQ install instructions with a few exceptions..
http://www.superduty-hq.com/raptorreardeaverspinginstall.aspx
When they suggest removing the lower shock mounts, I didn't . I just used a second jack to control the level of the rearend as it was lowered and then reraised.
One other thing I did different is I didn't pull the rear shackle I just loosened the bottom and rolled it forward to pull the spring bolt out...
This is where the only mistake happened. When reassembling I put the spring bolt in the wrong way.
as you can see it will hit the frame...
This is how it should look...
Luckily this was caught before anything was tight..
A few other points to note..Do not tighten anything up until the truck is loaded..You can snug things up but wait for final tourq till the truck is in the air with a jack under the rear diff. or on the ground under it's own weight. If you don't you will cause pre load in the bushings. BAD
I had to brake out my old school T.wrench to get the front spring bolts to 230lbs
I had to have the wife look at the dial while I yanked on it..lol..
Here are a few pic. of my son and I getting it done..
Buy the way you have to cut the drivers side front spring bolt out because the gas tank is in the way..
Took about 3-4 hours and was really straight forward....
