With the price of TRx, why are folks paying ADM for raptors?

They are selling for 10-11k below MSRP here if you order through certain dealers.

I traded with my coworker for a day and did not love the way the TRX drove. It made me think of my grandma’s caprice with a 5.7….floaty and boaty but fast. Also the issues they keep popping up on the FB groups worried me. I ordered both and cancelled my TRX order when my Raptor order got picked up.

That said, the motor pulls well and the exhaust is perfect. Interior is good but I didn’t love a little metal plate on the console that burned your arm.

Probably because the raptor is a better lighter and more well thought out platform and chassis. The TRx is a Ram with a hellcat motor and perm AWD tcase…. The TRx does have a nice interior tho i will say that coming from the mopar side, i do prefer uconnect over sync as well. Plus they put the ambient temp right on the display lol.
My thoughts exactly. The Raptor outperforms the TRX in every off road spec, and has proven it at Baja.

TRX under MSRP are as rare as Raptors under MSRP.
Not close to true here. No such thing as an MSRP Raptor around here and there are TRX at or under MSRP on most lots. Mark Dodge is an hour from here and selling for 11k under MSRP.

Another thing to mention is that they are actually on the lots, unlike g3 Raptors.

Yep, was trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

Well, IMO, the correct answer is...neither. It's a horrible time to buy if you don't have to, unless you really don't have to worry about spending your money wisely right now.

But anyway, what features are you looking for? If you want an offroad vehicle that's fast from the stoplight and makes V8 noises, then get the TRX. If you want the more capable offroad vehicle, that is also fast, but not as fast, then get the Raptor. Really, best thing to do is go do some test drives yourself. Not the easiest thing to do right now give availability, but important if you're deciding between two very expensive vehicles.
Stop being the voice of reason. I want it, and want it now!!

TRX under MSRP are as rare as Raptors under MSRP.
They only are if you sit behind a keyboard making unsubstantiated conjecture.

I would be considering a Raptor if there weren't plenty of unreasonable items on my wish list. I will probably do some aftermarket stuff to my G2 that are completely unreasonable but not as costly, in order to help satisfy my need for unreasonable purchases.

The be honest though, I don't think the auto market is going to get better any time soon. Supply of parts and chips will get better, but the industry has taken the opportunity to exert control over supply of vehicles and keep prices at or above MSRP. The days of invoice deals to clear the lot are over. And that's not even factoring inflation.

No, I think my days of buying new vehicles may be at an end. Used was always a better deal than new, but when you can't even get serious discounts on new vehicles anymore, used looks even better.

Because the Raptor is a great package, the TRX is a horsepower contest strapped to a half-baked chassis.

Still a cool truck but no adaptive suspension, exhaust, etc. and many who have compared the two find the Raptor to be a better on and off road total package.

The trends you've noted...the market is telling you something...
