The diode you are referring to is often called a free wheeling diode or flyback diode it is used to prevent spikes in a circuit. IMO the electrical device in question is most likely an elector-magnet that reacts poorly to large spikes of voltage thus needing the protection of said diode. See wiki pedia fly bake diode for explanation.

Any update?

(I will create a build thread, after building 3 Raptors, 16 Black Platinum Rogue Stage 12 full kit, EDP Twin Turbo, Methods and Nitto Ridge Grapplers. All but the wheels and tires have been bought)

And now back to your regularly scheduled thread :)!

Aftermarket HQ BRTS ELD Controller

Found this, hope this helps. This is what I gathered messaging them.

It will override the E locker and let you control it while not having to be in Offroad mode. Will not cut out after 30mph and all that follow with it while it is engaged on a raptor. Will also work on a f150 and not have to be in 4wd. This is computer controlled. And sends the correct voltage etc to factory Tcm and ecu. Will need to be wired to a 12v power. You flip the switch and it will activate the locker. You only use the factory eld switch in normal mode

I think I'm one of the few test dummies for the aftermarket hq unit, I'm about 6k miles with it now and no issues to speak of other than if you flip the aux switch to fact between engaged and disengaged it throws up a little prompt on the screen that basically says you're an idiot.

How did you actually get the product?
All I can do is see a phone number from some company in Vegas.
The website is scary, no real info and they want all your info before even seeing something.
Can you tell us more on how you wired it up ( which option )

Yes, the product is live and has been doing great , As ryan said if you flip the switch to fast and try to engage with the normal locker switch it will throw a check diff dash display . It takes about 20 secs to disengage . I own @aftermarket HQ in Las vegas . We are constantly updating our website . The prices for the units are as follows .

Unit with wiring for AUX $225 plus shipping .
Unit with wiring with switch $250 plus shipping .

Unit works great , give full control of E-locker . Runs with all computer systems with no dash lights or problems . Runs correct load to e-locker with correct duty cycles. Our unit is a computer controlled unit you will wire in place between tcm unit . very easy . comes with instructions . You can PM me here or call the shop to order . We are also a supporting Vendor on FRF 702-202-1263
