Why get that when you can get the Hummer EV? Is the cyber truck gonna be cheaper? It kinda looks….like my 8 year old designed it, but the performance is cool

I watched a very in depth video on it to include full testing of power train, towing, etc. Personally, EVs just don’t fit my lifestyle, and that’s fine, they do fit some people’s lifestyles.

Some of the engineering advancements in it are truly amazing though. The body construction and strength that it has is really awesome. The fly by wire steering is incredible as well and proves that it can be in production vehicles (well, we will see what happens when they roll off the line) and the towing capabilities that it has are amazing as well.

Again, the EV lifestyle isn’t for me, but the truck itself is very cool and is an engineering marvel. I don’t really understand the insane hate that it gets, minus the fact that the CEO is a ****** ****, but I’m talking about the truck and the engineering team that built it. It’s really ******* cool.
lol it gets hate cuz it looks like what a 9 year old kid circa 1979 would come up w/ if he was asked quite literally to “draw a cybertruck” - I mean it looks hideous

I love Elon tho…zero F’s to give, he develops & delivers a product that the market/consumers wanted BEFORE being “mandated” in some states/cities to go all EV, & if I had the inkling for a 3rd…honestly maybe 4th vehicle I’d consider a Tesla or hummer EV

If I lived in a dense urban area, didn’t depend on my vehicle daily, & only used it sporadically on occasion I can see the attraction

I'm gonna try it out. Haters gonna hate, but Elon giving all the auto manufacturers tutorials on 48V systems, patents open on his tech, internet access to farmers/world via satellite, giving bird to advertisers and threats wrt money... just please don't run for president bro!

2019 802A in white here, but got a Model X Plaid for local area commuting and kid stuff. Maybe I'm just not a "driver's driver," but having driven a number of sports cars and such, I just love the plaid's acceleration and spartan inside with the yoke... where I can finally look down and see my speed and stuff without tilting head or leaning. I'll always have a Raptor, but love the Tesla too. Never go in for oil changes, never stop for gas, and when WWIII or the zombies hit, solar + EV gonna give us big daily range.

Ah yes the electrical grid that can barely handle 7 vacuum cleaners at the same time being in one piece after WW3. How long will it take to charge a dead EV with a panel anyways? 7-10 business days?

WW3 will be fought with EMP's so we are all screwed. Unless you have a pre EPA TDI with a manual injection pump. Wouldnt that be something.

Looks like 30 people so far bumped the wrong vote button, if not I can't see how they're really Raptor fans or place any value on one of the best looking trucks versus the worst looking.

IMHO a vehicle first has to look good and then it has to perform good.

so i was randomly searching for a tent. the resemblence in shape.... cant be a coincidence. maybe when he was designing the original cybertruck his wife kicked him out of the house and while he was sleeping in his tent in the backyard, he decided he should make it a tent on wheels. you know, for the people that actually buy it and their wives kick them out of the house, they have a place to sleepScreenshot_2023-12-13-12-13-46-26_b5f6883d2c20a96c53babc0b4ac88108.jpg

I could school everyone on the realities of EVs/auto manufacturing/recycling/mining etc. (literally my industy(s)) BUT I’ll refrain for now & just point out the last poster you’re quoting specified SOLAR power to charge his Tesla plaid during the zombie apocalypse…which certainly isn’t an efficient way to go about it & not even sure it’d work w/o a serious setup, but has nothing to do w/ our current ****** not up task power grid nationally
