They just happened to have a couple GEN1's at the dealer. Interesting to see vehicles that are 5 years old only dropping 7-10% from new. GEN1 or not that does not happen with many vehicles.

So after reading 23 pages of back and forth Gen1 vs Gen 2, I still don't have an answer the question I originally came here for. Will there be a V8 in the Raptor?

Only the higher ups at Ford know the answer to your questions. I don't think there is any chance that Ford would bother to put the 7.3 in an F-150 model that is about to be completely redesigned, though. The 5.2 would package about the same as the 5.0, which is already offered in the current F-150.

The new 7.3 is the push rod engine that is supposed to go into the super duty. Im asking about the 7.0 DOHC engine that was rumored around the end of last year.

I think the rumored 7.0 turned out to be the 7.3. I do recall the DOHC but not certain. If Ford would just offer the 5.0 it would be a blast for people that want to go SC
