I bought the cheap plain jane model for $53K. No performance mods but about $2k in wheels and tires.

And what can you sell your truck for right now? 2017s private party in the right part of the country are selling for more than $60k. I'm still miles ahead of you in terms of equity vs money spent. I've seen Gen1 selling for the low teens. Not holding their value so well anymore.
