sounds like they may do it?

The 2019 F-150 Raptor will receive Ford’s new 7.0L V8 motor, which will be produced at Ford’s Windsor, Ontario engine assembly plant.

Last week, Automotive News broke the story that Ford has plans to announce production of a new engine in Windsor, Ontario. Sources told Reuters that the 7X engine, designed for Ford’s truck line and other special applications, will also feature Direct Injection, and will be mated to Ford/GM’s new 10-speed transmission.

I was about to explain why you are wrong, but then I realized I don’t even have the energy to do it. So I’m just wasting my own time, but I don’t even care because if you take the time to read this, then my time will have been wasted effectively.

Regardless of anyone’s stance on whether or not the raptor will receive a v8, speedtwich is not a source to be taken as reliable.

That blog puts out less than one article a month. I'll wait until this comes from a more credible source.

Gen 1 owner for a year. Going to order a 2019 Gen 2 with or without a V8. Bought a 14 because of the rumors that a V8 was coming. I have nothing against the ecoboost, but I would have engine envy if a V8 came out in 18 or 19. I love the Gen 1 by the way. Anyway, they either will or won’t do it which is pretty much anyone’s guess. I had a dealer tell me yes (two months ago) and then read everything that is pointing to a big no. We will see, don’t care, ready for a gen 2 either way. Until they make it official, it is just churn, and the posts keep going.

Adding to the churn, this would make me consider a Jeep if it wasn’t just a fun concept:

I didn’t think they would...but I’m starting to get the feeling they will for 2019. And if they do it will be pretty nuts trying to get an allocation at MSRP again. That was not fun.

When will be find out about the 2019s? May? June?

I'm thinking that the only guys that are positive they are not coming out with the V8 Raptor are the ones that bought the 6 banger. :mwah1:

I have the Gen 2 now, and I just said I am starting to think they might put a V8 option in 2019. When do the order banks open?
