actually.......it will have an ENGINE. A motor would mean its electric.

Hey genius:

mo·tor
ˈmōdər/Submit
noun
1.
a machine, especially one powered by electricity or internal combustion, that supplies motive power for a vehicle or for some other device with moving parts.

I’m looking to finally order my first raptor after years of debating. Should I order now or wait until the v8 drops? Is the extra sound and power worth it? Need advice!

You should wait. There'll be a new Ford truck coming out every year and you can wait until they make one that you fall in love with.

There's even an F-150 Hybrid coming out as early as next year so if you don't buy the EcoBoosted Raptor you can always buy the Hybrid F-150.

no confirmation for v8, just speculation and rumors. A lot of members here refute the mere possibility of ford putting a v8 in the raptor ever again. Only time will tell.

order banks for the 2019 open up around august I think.

True, and then if they bring it back they will likely raise the msrp $10k at least because of demand. Maybe I should just make the move now. How is the sound and power now?

Power is awesome. I drove one that had a pedal commander installed (don't know what mode, assuming sport +2ish as it was under the dash) and it was snappy and quick on the freeway in Sport. It's a fast truck.

The sound is something you'll have to decide for yourself. I personally don't enjoy the ACTUAL exhaust sound, but the fake one in the cab was just fine to my hearing. I'd probably never turn that off  Just find one local to you that you can listen to if sound is a big deal to you.

Max torque at 6000 rpm and max power at 6250 rpm and brakes requiring 20 inch wheels sounds great
